Hey, would love to get some other Florida cruiser guys to go. We are taking the auto train up to Virginia, meeting with some other guys and driving to Vermont. We are excited about the trip.

You can fit your rig on the auto train? Haha.

According to their their oversized load size requirements I fall one or two inches under. No roof rack. One way trip for the vehicle is $175 which is much less then the gas would cost. We will see how it will work. Ed

Nice, I guess having a 40 has its advantages.

Will do. I am planning to take and post pictures of the whole trip. I hope one of the pictures is me crying while they turn me away from the auto train for too tall of a vehicle. Or of me being towed back to camp by my team partner who is taking a rover. Ha ha

anyone done this run before? will a stock 40 be capable to do this course with out destroying the thing?? if so i may be in...

From looking at pictures of the event it seems wet and muddy conditions are present, it may be wise add a winch to your rig at minimum and a rear locker wouldn't hurt anything.:wrench:

Ed - looking forward to hearing how this trip goes for you. I'd really really like to do this in 2014 and would probably drive up to Sanford and take the auto train just like you.

i'm seriously considering doing this one next summer, let me know how it goes... for anyone who is going this yr. I want to know what im getting myself into.

My dad and I might be in next year depending on dates
