She's Legal.....

Just got back from the DMV with Tags...thought for a bit there I was going to run into some problems but quick trip through the line and she's ready to hit the road...next up is going to be visit Henry and talk fishing and see what I can work up for an exhaust...

Alright, some very interesting news today about the cruiser, as time goes by I find that even though the truck is rusted in various areas I have still bought a FJ55 that was worth a little something.....So today on my way back over to Jerry's to finish up the landtank caster plates I was thinking for some reason I was in the pickup, and decided to shift into 5th gear!!!! well up until today I didn't think FJ55 had a 5th gear and had, up until now, assumed it was the four speed. Well upon further inspection "a" previous owner had installed the H55 tranny into it. Now I just have to find out what other goodies this truck has on it.

Man that is friggin sweet! With luck like you have I need you to buy my next truck for me.

yeah, that's a weird feeling the first time isn't it? The 5th gear in a h55 is kind of "different" feeling anyway, and when you weren't really expecting it to even be there, that first clutch let out must have been interesting! Sweet!

That's awesome! That kinda thing doesn't happen every day.

That is friggen awesome.:D

I still try to shift my ranger into 6th gear... but no luck

Well this little piggie even escaped Sampson County

She's head home, after touring the east coast for a bit she's headed home. Larry and his family promise to take good care of her. She will even represent ONSC on the west coast.....had to send a few stickers out there with her for Larry and his friend. Keep an eye out as he intends to slowly fully restore the truck.

Home is San Clemente, CA

Probably not? Was it fun, yes. Was it the first time having 5 at one time-No....

I want to slim the collection down, to much work, and quite frankly my job is taking up more time than ever now. The good ole' days I think our by the wayside now.

Shoulda convinced you to leave it in the barn. :bang:

There are alot of times I thought to myself why did I sell it, this time I know it's going to a good home that will bring it back to life better than I would have so that makes all the difference....They'll be another one...

Yup, owning more than one project will dominate your free time. Really hard to do and keep your woman happy. Tough choice but ultimately the right one.
