Maybe I have a DGES..... I could have sworn it said DGAS on it, but it's an electric choke. It's halfway across the world from me now, or I'd go check now. haha

Fj40jim is right. You can do a water choke or electric on the 38. It is not a progressive carb. They are easy to tune because they use the same jets side to side. If you are having a issue with throttle stumble off idle try getting some different emulsion tubes. Mine had f40's when I got it and now it has f60's it makes a huge difference especialty when getting on it on the highway or a hill climb. As far as air filters I have a adaptor that lets me use my stock fj60 air cleaner assembly. They also make a snorkel top that just bolts on to the top of your carb. The reason why I had asked about your air cleaner is the small open filter they send with the carb actually chokes your motor. Pierce maniflods is the main us importer for weber. They sell all of the kits and air filter adaptors you would need. If you need any help or part numbers let me know. Do you have the stock or electric fuel pump?

Thanks. My truck runs really good actually, no stumbles. I guess the mileage I get isn't all that bad for a Land Cruiser. I ordered on of the adaptors that fit a stock carb on my weber, but now if I get a Snorkel I won't even need it. I am running an electric fuel pump. I went through 3 mechanical pumps in 6 months and got tired of being stranded. So the last time it happened I threw on a little electric fuel pump and it works pretty good so far. I don't have an inline fuel pressure guage. I have a good setup but I've never put it in. I have issues sometimes climbing long hills. Seems to want to run out of juice towards the top. Maybe like you said if I swap out those tubes. I appreciate the help. I'll let you know if I need any part numbers. Thanks
