I came across a fairly clean 2000 100 series. My wife needs a daily driver and I would like to know what you guys think. One concern I have is that it has around 125,000 miles on it. In addition, the transmission apparently went out around 56,000, although it has obviously been replaced. I have reviewed the section on Cristo's site pertaining to purchasing a used vehicle, but I would appreciate any thoughts you all may have about purchasing a vehicle with this many miles and the previous transmission issue. Thanks.

Do they have documentation on the transmission replacement? New, used, etc? I have a 2000 100 series that has 118K and it runs like a top. I have owned it since it had 50K. I just did a 2,500 mile road trip in it 2 weeks ago and it ran perfect. Was the 90K service done? What are they asking? Prices are really low right now. I've seen a number of nice 2000's going for $10-$12K.

Thanks for the replies. They are asking $15,000, which I know is too high and so do they. If they don't come off that price, I won't buy it. They do have documentation on the transmission replacement, but I haven't reviewed it yet. I obviously need to ask more questions about that but from what I understand, I believe it was replaced with a new transmission. The 90,000 mile service was done and the timing belt was indeed replaced.
