Thinking about adding a 200 series to the stable

I really liked my 100 - but the 200 I love....... much more solid feeling and more refined, and it has about as much power as my 100 with the TRD charger.... enough so that i'm rethinking if i need the Sc'er on this.....

Love:
Cooler for trips
More POWER
More did I mention POWER
Better Seats
Rear entertainment
Bluetooth

Dislike not hate:
Smaller diameter steering wheel(thickness)
Location of the center locker
No phone connectivity
Not enough power
Not as refined in the drive

Let me just say the 100 is a great truck and would not hesitate to get another if needed.

Just to clarify, the top was what I love about the 200, have not really found anything I dislike yet.

The second group was little things that I felt could be improved on the 100.

Notice that these two trucks are both incredibly impressive in many ways.

What do you mean about connectivity?
I am looking at 200's right now and have not done any phone evalutions... yet.

top things I love about my 200
1. power, power, power
2. suspension flex, way more than a 100, especially in the front!
3. traction
4. Fridge
5. Radar cruise control is pretty cool on long road trips
6. how solid it feels!
7. turn assist, cool party trick
8. Camera's come in handy
9. Dash is massively improved over 100 series
10. Crawl control works awesome
11. timing chain
12. better seats
13. sound system cranks up pretty good for a stock system
14. one touch up and down windows are cool

What could maybe be fixed on the 200
1. front cup holders suck
2. bigger fuel tank would be nice
3. factory rear locker would be cool at the price point
4. more space up front to stick s***
5. fake wood steering wheel is too thin, give me an all leather thick wheel
6. put the buttons on the center console(like they are from 2016 forward
7. could use a little more head room
8. could use a HD screen and better quality camera's with higher contrast(bird's eye view in the 2016 plus looks pretty cool)
9. wish the rear side windows opened like they do on the 100 series
10. side mirrors could heat up/defrost a bit quicker, not a big deal, but a notch quicker would be cool.

just a quick list off the top of my head... I've owned 2 100 series rigs, if ya like the 100 the 200 is just the 100 on steroids, so you'll love it!

 Full agreement from this 100/200 owner. I literally nodded my head as I read...though I don't have radar (2008), and I think the steering wheel is fine. ;)

When I was happily driving my fully-built 100 series around (happily, as in...nearly any time I walked into the house, I'd turn and glance back at my Cruiser in admiration--for 13 years--not kidding)... I remember when the 200 was first released. I didn't really care for it's looks yet...BUT I distinctly remember thinking, "Holy crap! 381 horsepower??" -because acceleration was the ONE thing I really wished I could improve on my 100 (and was not interested in a supercharger).

Now in my 200, I am STILL amazed at its power. The way it yanks its 6000+ pounds to speed is pretty incredible. Love this thing.

And... I still glance back at it before walking in the house. Ridiculous, but true.
The Subaru commercials are wrong. LOVE: It's what makes a Land Cruiser a Land Cruiser. ;)

Depending upon year picked on the 200, you can get some pretty nice stuff. I love my "cool-box" and the headlights are better on the newer 200s than the older.

Oh and because it has not been mentioned enough...... POWER...

6 speed tranny is not bad either... oh, did I mention POWER?

I still have both, and drive them both, so I get to see what kind of differences there are on a daily basis. I still LOVE my 100 series, but I am amazed at the ride and move-ability... stomp-ability... what is the word that I am thinking of? Oh, POWER. Love that.

I don't have many real complaints about the 200.

Underbody corrosion coatings might be something Toyota's could and should make some improvements on.
Number one question people seem to ask a lot around here, is in regards' to under body corrosion on a 200 they are thinking of buying. I think that comes up more often then if the price is fair.

Paint is too thin.

To me the tech in the 16-17 seems very comparable or better then most anything else in this class now days.

Even the tech in my 2011's is pretty good for 5 year old rigs.
