Things TO-DO before GSMTR 2015

Figured it was time to start a GSMTR 2015 TO-DO thread.
• I need to fix my front and rear sway bars
• put my new drag link on
• run my new plug for my fridge
• dual battery
• get my fog lights working again
• paint hood

Tundra brake conversion on the front
New steering rack
Outer tie rods
Disk brake conversion on rear
And that's just the big stuff.

I got to get a game plan before I can have a To-Do list. Not sure what we will be in. Most likely the 80, but could tow the sami and run that around.... Gonna have to decide soon I guess.

Figure out what all the loose stuff is in the engine compartment - Done. Change fluids - Done. New tires - Done. Change belts. Fix soft top. Install rear seat. New speakers if I have time. Fix the stuff that breaks on the shakedown run.

I have a F'n metric shat ton of stuff to get done. Gonna be some long days in the garage on my days off. Of course its gonna be nice since I finally put some insulation in the attic out there. The wood stove should keep it nice and toasty. Its a lot to do but maybe, just maybe I'll get it done in time.

1. Figure out when & where said event is! HELP!!
2. Don't break anything before event.
3. Wash truck, I still have sand in it from OBX at Thanksgiving!
4. Save MONEY!

just accepting reality that it will not happen in 15 as I go in to have my eye surgery Tuesday and will be down for a while, my rig still needs complete suspension and drivetrain installed.maybe somebody needs a co-pilot for the trip lol

For those that have gone from 33" to 35", what have been your impression for overall performance. My 80 is not a crawler but I am not afraid to use my truck offroad. However I still use it quite a bit on road to haul dirt bikes and travel to offroad destinations. It is not my daily driver.

From your post above, I think you might like the Cooper ST Maxx. I've run the 255/85r16 KM2 on an FJ and really liked them. When I bought me Tacoma I was looking for something a little more street friendly and went the cooper route after reading a ton of tire reviews. I've put around 15K on these in about 8 months and love them. Still a great tire off road and a nice, quiet ride. Definitely a tire to look into! And you can get the 255 you want...

My only concern is that it appears the SST Maxx is measuring out to 32" in that size. Not sure thats a big deal, but not sure I want to spend that much money and be a bit short. Maybe I am being silly.

However in you opinion, where does the SST maxx not measure up to the KM2, if any?
