Hi all, curious about this leak at the thermostat housing. Is there a part number for this gasket? Is it fipg? My dealer said it doesn’t show a part number.

The only gasket in that area is the seal that sits on the thermostat itself. If there is additional sealant there, it should be removed.

When the tstat housing breaks and/or that sealant stuff falls into the block, bad things can happen.

I just did a timing belt job on my 2004 gx470 and the thermostat housing looks different compared to my 1998 LC in the picture. Curious to see if someone had reseal or replace that gasket on the right of the housing(small black hose side).

There’s FIPG 103 in there. FWIW, Toyota discontinued that design and now uses a solid 1-piece housing (part #: 1603250110).
