AAAAnd your patience is rewarded.......sorta.
I got the trailer this morning. I got alot of it put together. I had a lot of errands to run.
So here are some teaser shots. I will have a pic heavy spread this weekend as I finish up putting the parts on, and work on the lights. I need to find some good weather seal as well.
Two questions for advice.
1. What dust proof weather seal should I use for the doors?
2. Where do the reflectors get placed?
On to the mini-show.

As for the door seal...I would try to find a self stick,high quality, rubber "bulb" type seal. You need to determine how much space is between the door and the box (1/16"..1/8"...more?) Most important is to make sure you don't get the it, the door,"hinge bound" by putting too thick of seal in there. There is a fine line between sealed and not sealed. If you need help resourceing it let me know...I have some books at work that have some good stuff.
I would wire an amber LED marker in the front (kinda back from the jack holders) and put a red LED marker on the back (to clearly delineate) the side of the trailer. I guess you would light the back up (stop/turn) as you normally might. I love LED's..minimal power and maximum effect

Well I spent most of the day in Home Depot, Lowes, the dentist 
, and a trailer supply shop.
Needless to say I ran out of daylight (blast the fall!), but did manage to get some cool stuff done.
First I got some "heavy duty" picture hanging loops and riveted them to the side doors and the side boxes.
I bought some 1/8 inch cable and aluminum compression connectors. Rated at 384 lbs.
It left some extra rivets in the doors, but I think I have decided to put some flat black on all the rivets on the doors.
I then moved on to.....

I got some "automotive" seal from HD, but its only 1/4 inch thick, as you can see on one of the photo's, and that's too thin. I need 3/8 - 1/2 inch, bulb would be great if you can source me some! Thanks.
Re. the lights...You put your MSpaint spots right where I have LED's ready to go.

....installing the tail gate. First I got the hinge sealed and bolted on.
I then took my grinder to some tie down brackets so that the cable would fit between it and the inside wall of the tailgate.
Next I attatched another whole tiedown with the loops to the inside of the trailer box.
I made two identicle cable runs with the tie down loops attached.
And here's the cable attached to the tailgate...
...and the main box.
And I am pleased to show that it works as I hoped!
I have to finish up the other side box, and find some weather seal. I picked some up that you can see in the open side box picture in the last post, automotive stuff from Home Depot. Here's some info from Grainger..hope you have one in the area. It's not rubber (still looking) but neoprene, dosent compress as easy as the silicone rubber gasket.

You have done a top job on that trailer. With the side boxes, i would of went the same way that normal trade type boxes do, with the returned external lip, similar to what you have done on the tailgate. Then it would be a matter of foam seal for a push tight fit, rather than the lid overlapping the box. hope that made sense.

Hey, thanks. LWB....duh.
In that case I love it. With the trailer hauling all the gear now the Jeep is perfect for our family of 4 and one large dog.
Plus its, you know......a convertable!

Thanks Dave. I agree. However there were budget/time constraints that were at play, and I just didn't think I could afford the time it took to make them the same way.
Hindsight being 20/20 however shows that we missed the camping season that I had hoped it would be done to enjoy, and could have made them that way....sigh.

HOLY CRANK! What a pain in the rear wiring this thing up is. Not that its super difficult, and with the wiring guides its straight forward, but my choice to run the wires inside the frame sure slows the process. So after a couple hours on Thursday and all day today, here is my progress. 3/4 done with the trailer, and no work on the Jeep yet converting to 7 pin from 4.
Here's the wires coming off the passenger side of the brakes and into the cross member....
...and here its coming out the other side and into the main drivers side beam to go to the front.
And here is the mess of wires coming out of the main drivers side beam and through the front cross member. They will here be sheathed into the rubber sheathing that I had stripped off of the 7 wires and run into the diagnal front beam and out the front as exampled.
Here is a front marker LED.
And the rear.
Here is the rear wires as they go into the main drivers side beam. The red one is one that I will use for a back up light when I get one. Hopefully the LED worklight from AT.
And with the light on, and the rear with both.
I'll post up when I get some power to them and fire this sucker up some time soon I hope.

She's lookin dandy as all hell and that combo trailer wire is da chit baby!! (never saw that before..guess I gotta' get out more)
Well I'm glad to see that you have the wiring nightmare now...my bad dream is all done...hehe. I can't believe I missed this update...I must be asleep at the wheel.
As you know, you can't have too many LEDS on your truck, or trailer for that matter, so go get em' tiger!!. The time you take now ensuring it's all good will save you massive headaches down the road. As always..get snappin' and get that fugger in the woods before Christmas for crips sakes!
