Beater Update

Kowboy and Fro just left the shop, the old man got the thing cranked today, it seems to run good, we got the rear springs flipped and the axle under it. The front axle is assembled with custom high-steer arms ready for the shackle reversal tommorrow, then we'll get it under there. We should get some pics up in the mornin. Josh :flamingo:

Instead we have to make do with the F engine which runs great, using a Motorcrft Carb with adapters donated by the old man.....

Josh found a section of DOM that the FJ60 size spring bushings fit perfect, therefore that is the size he used in the rear frame, hence the shackles are hybrid FJ60 pins on top with FJ40 pins on bottom....typical White trash.....

Butch

I dig the way he used that bent leaf spring for the extra lift! :flipoff2:

I have the t/case ready to couple to the SM420, ordered the bearing needed for the adapter ...... got the clutch disc in stock........

the TR end is in front....not the rear, look closer at the picture, you are looking at the drivers side front, from the front......... :D

Thanks Jason.

Rumor has it our tires/wheels showed up this weekend so maybe the folks back home in Elwood can tell what we need.

Since I'm now 1200 miles away, I'm waitin' on new posts to this thread just like everyone else. :frown:

We put them big ol tires on it yesterday, they are gonna work fine without spacers. Fro got the steering column in, I got to make some kind of a support for the bottom of it cause its out a pig and longer than a 40. I'll see if I can con the old man into putting up some pics later today. Josh
