IIRC, didn’t you snap the rear pinion on your maiden launch?
Yes but that by itself shouldn’t stop me from encouraging others to pop a wheelie.

If anything it should give me some street creed and make my inspirational words of encouragement more meaningful.

Besides who here doesn’t want to see wngrog pop a wheelie?

That 500 gallon gas tank will help. Pigs are like the Plymouth Belvedere of the sixties, just draggin ass all over the place.

No kidding. I kicked my ass all over putting leaf springs back in due to that hog trough

Agreed 1000%!!!

Tomorrow is the big day.

I think I have everything ready for the transplant surgery.

In other news, after looking long and hard at the King shocks like @scrapdaddy did and just decided to go with what I know.

Iron Man Pro Firm 60 series shocks. They are so much heavier than the OME. Not even in the same class.

We are going to lower the top mounts on the crossmember so I can get more droop. These are about 1” longer than Ome but they need more room to drop.

Earlier I had raised them above the spring to the stock location for early Cruisers in the back of the axle but I want to try to keep the geometry the same. That much angle and I love dampening.

You can’t see due to the covers but, at rest and full of fuel (with all the leafs back in) the shocks are about 2” from fully extended.

I’m going to have Shaw Fab add new upper mounts to the bottom of the crossmember tube and extend my sway bar arms. Should be perfect. Not looking for a ramp champ but not wanting to carry tires all the time.

Lots of help. Great help. People that don’t need to be told what to do.

The motor fired and ran perfectly. My throttle cable is jacked. So sad but I can only idle it around. Ive ordered a new one but you can bet your ass I’ll try to rig something up to be able to drive it.

Stay tuned.

My cable broke on the way home from work one day and I tied speaker wire to the linkage and throttled home a few miles with my arm.

Taking pics of your speedo while doing 80 in a FJ55? Wow dude😧

But congrats tho👍

It drives perfectly at speed. It does want to change lanes a bit when I let off a hard throttle

I have a center arm rebuild kit and power steering to add to make it even better in the next phase

I also picked up my 100 from the body shop today from collision repair. I have a full house again and all of them run!

New front fender? No blend?

New front fender? No blend?

Yeah and thanks for pointing that out as I just now see it.

I think I will let her “blend” it by getting it dirty.

Sorry, I didnt mean to be a dick. I grew up around body work and can spot repair a mile away. Especially on silver cars. They dont even look good from factory.

Ya I am such a good body man that I paint my truck every year and no one can tell. Almost paint as often as JMack. Haha

I figure she’s due a couple more wrecks before I repossess it. I’ll just choose to forget you pointed this out

On another note. The Warthog is leak free. Riding and running great.

I got the interior all finished. Holes are all filled on the tranny hump. No hot air coming through the floor or firewall. It’s still loud compared to my 60 but it’s 50% quieter than pre-project.
