Also, looking for a single inner chrome latch handle if anyone has a spare?
Someone was looking for one a few months ago, then I didn't hear back. Still have this one somewhere...

The Humvee seat belt kit showed up and seems to fit well enough after mocking them up. I thought the upper mounts might be too high, but they fit me better than the 3-points I put in my old 40. Minor victories!

I also need to schedule a time to go pick up a rear bench seat in Ohio.

Nice score on the belts.

Just standard humvee belts? I’m going to look into this option.

It’s a full retrofit kit for Hummers, comes with all sorts of parts. I will take some pics tomorrow. I know others in the 40 section have used them in the past, then the prices went dumb, but now are back to normal.

Some cool parts showed up from @DoubleNickels Also, looking for a single inner chrome latch handle if anyone has a spare?
Ready to go, even a spring. Also from @DoubleNickels

Wiring hell has put the brakes on most of my progress. Trying to make sense of this is nuts. Prioritizing needs, and that is functioning turn signals and parking lights, but that is more involved than it needs to be. Probably going to go with a new harness down the road, maybe this winter. That Highway 22 kit seems nice.

Also, anyone have a pivot pin for the door handle laying around? I didn’t realize I needed this too. Thanks for the spring and latch Pighead!

I would think McMaster Carr would have something. Of course you need dimensions. Have you taken the other handle apart to lay hands on the pin?

One of the best tools I ever purchased for our old rigs is a Power Probe. It allows you to work off a battery, apply a ground and power the circuit with the tip. It’s circuit protected and tells you what volt you’re getting at the source. It’s helpful as you can connect it then start at the tail light for example and put power at the bulb/housing/pigtail etc and move your way back to the batteryuntil you find the issue. It’s one of those tools I wish I had found 20 years ago.

I’m sure there are knock offs by now but the OG tool has been a workhorse for me.

I still need to punch the pin and see what it looks like, that would be cool if McMaster had something.

As far as the wiring, it's the entire vehicle harness with wires for every circuit, many not used, and many others in a tangled mess with no order. There are wires for everything like cruise control, power antenna, power windows, door locks, basically all the stuff you don't need. Trying to sift through it, the writing on the wires is all faded and impossible to read too so two brown wires might be for two different things. Made a little progress with it, but have a lot to work through. The Fluke is working overtime in continuity mode.

I had a Power Probe at my disposal for years, just never purchased my own. It was an absolute lifesaver working on European cars. Maybe I should add that to my Father's Day list!

Sorry just got to the school to rummage through the spares and only had one of the silver pocket/cups for the door handle. Looks like you got it sorted. Project is coming along nicely!

My oldest helped today with some odds and ends so that was nice. Started chasing and removing unused wires in the harness to clean up the mess. Made a template to replace the tape blocking off the holes for the old hvac system, I am pretty set on mounting my power distribution setup in this location. I am also going to need to relocate the coolant overflow tank that I already mounted in that area, there just isn't enough room to keep things clean. Pulled a tail light to scope out the jank wiring job and find more dirt. Tried to get the front marker lights to work, the right side is not grounding properly and in an effort to fix it I broke it in half. Oh yeah, I never would have thought you can split one wire into two!

Ron Francis Express wiring kit scored off Ebay yesterday, not quite as fancy as the Highway 22 kit, but I think it will be a good upgrade from what I have.
