Well its been 13 months since I drove the RED monster on the road.

Its been a tale of woe.

1. I went to renew the rego on 24FEB last year and was told cannot your vehicle is blacklisted.
2. FOUND out what that was a letter to take RED to road trransport for an INSPECTION after a complaint was made so it was fined in COURT and BLAKCLISTED from being registered. (AUGUST 2009 :( )
3. I never knew about this as RED is registered in a friends name and he claimed to have never received the registered letter :(
4. So I gave it to a runner to sort it all out at road transport - 6 months later of many lies etc I knew something was up.
5. recently the runner asked for $5000 to complete the unblackllisting after already providing him $2300.
6. I never gave him the loot $5000 and he started ignoring all calls and SMS's on the status of RED.
6a. i got a report my "NICE" neighbour went round some of the other houses in the street showing them the REPORT he was making against my trucks to road transport - he reported two on the same day for "ILLEGAL MODIFICATIONS" driving without a license and anything else he could make up. It worked .
6B while RED was stored at the runners house it got broken into and the stereo stolen and the VHF radio and all the APEXI gauges some $5000 worth :( . since the runner stored it there under the instruction of the workshop I made them replace the missing kit.
7. The runner go sacked from the workshop he was at missing money etc :( whereabouts of the runner now unknown.
8. Feb 2011 I got I got grumpy and went to the police station and report the runner running away with my rego papers etc. Man that got a reaction (and being a foreigner here was just the catalyst) the police straight away on the phone found out where the runner used to work and went round to the workshop and wanted to know where the runner was - the workshop reacted by NEVER wanting the police there again got hold of the runner and got the papers delivered back in 2 days
9. A new runner has the papers now and informed me - oops - BLACKLIST to clear RED of it so it can be reregistered $1500
engine conversion from 2.4 petrol to 13B-T - damn $2500 and other fees total is over $5000
11. TO get my neighbour back I reported his sons BMW to road transport (man has he been quiet since as they would have charged him a fee to pass the inspection as it was a BEEMER and the son is a DOCTOR hahahahaha).
12. I have to go to road transport with the runner wednesday and explain to road transport the whole story to try and get a discount on the blacklist fee. Its cost me $$$$$$$$$$$ loss of income from the business and the damage to GREEN while I bashed that in the jungle is unbelieveable :(
12. Currently RED is now back at the workshop being prepared for the inevitable inspection and all fluids etc being replaced and getting it running again. new batteries, new sneakers, new shocks, no change out of $5000+
13. I hope to have red BACK ON THE road by the end of the month I have to its booked by tourists for a 4x4 trip. ANyway I really miss driving that beautiful 21PSI boosted 13B-T and it spinning the 35" sneakers in 3rd effortlessy on wet roads :) and its missing towing all its LANDY and HEEP friends around the jungle too.
14. then it has a little job - it might just have to reverse over the "NICE" neighbours car or maybe I will let the VOLVO do it its much heavier and nastier and just say SORRY and wear the $300rm fine I will get.

Then I can tell the whole story at a TT or around a camp fire (damn where is wild bill to lite one) in the jungle.

13/14BT? Don't tell me its one of those hybrid 13BT converts?

You would have saved yourself alot of trouble, money and bother by simply going for a 14Bt or even a 15Bt in the 1st place. I read you have intercooled and upgraded the fuel pump, in KK which is good.,

I also read in another post where you have 21psi boost and only using 70 series 8" axles.
They are not strong enough for that power. Sooner or later you will bend, break a axle or break the pinions and wish to the heavens you has installed the ninja 80 series axles.

I never thought I'd say this, but it makes dealing with our MTO here in Ontario, Canada look like a pleasure compared to what you are going through.
The dollar amounts you speak of, I assume they are in Malaysian currency, what is the exchange rate against a US dollar?

Exchange rate is 3.1 rinngit to the USD the whole thing when I finish getting RED back on the road including the repairs to GREEN will be in excess of $5000USD just because some pesky neighbour decides I might have modified my vehicle illegally (as he has stated he hates all foreigners and 4x4's and CATS and DOGS and anyone parking outside his house he is such a miserable and unhappy man) - by the way all the mods were legal except I had not done the engine swap and I do have a valid drivers license.

Yeah its breaking my heart and my wallet.

Why did I do it well I had a spare 13B-T sitting ont he workshop floor and we decided to build it into a monster as unlike in SABAH/SARAWAK the west malaysian government whacks us for ENGINE size exponentially 2.5 is $800rm (270usd) per year road tax and a 13B-T is $1700 (550usd) and a 14B-T will be almost $2000+ and remember it used to be $7000+ ($2300USD)

So we decided to mix and match 14B-T timing gear to quieten it down and make idle smoother. 14B-T CAM, 14B-T fuel pump modified air intake, supra 7M modified turbo and a few more bits and 3 of us reassemble the whole engine with new pistons etc

a 14B-T is now over $8000rmm to buy (2800USD) and is very very expensive.

80 Series axles are never in the picture I want my vehicle looking stock. I am prepared for the odd broken DIFF and in fact shredded one just before the blacklist sliding it around TAMAN NEGARA flat out chasing a highly modified 7M LC II.

I don't wish to the heavens if anything happens I will just tow it out and effect a repair and continue on.

That will definately put you in the poor house, outside of hiring the Soprano's, is there anyway you can get even with this guy? Or at least get him to move elsewhere? Maybe some of our forum members can suggest a strategy?

Essentially its still a 13Bt unless you have bored out the block.

Have you had this engine on a dyno? Usually a 13Bt wont produce much more than 160hp even with a modded fuel pump, turbo and high boost.

A 15Bt will go right the way upto 220 to 240hp.

Reported his son's beemer to road transport that took a lot of money from his wallet.
NExt he will have a RAT inspection done by the health department :)
I have other plans which cannot be announced but revenge is sweet :)

Next is his car being reported :) - this guy has been for 40+ years reporting everyone in the street to Police, COuncil , health department for any slight infringement - apparently I am the first one to stand up to him as all the neighbours s*** scared of him. HE has tossed stones at my house, thrown dog**** and cat s*** on DEATHSTAR. My two beautiful cats dissappeared one day. People park outside to visit he tells them to move. The police hate him as they sick of turning up for his childish calls. WHen we had a serious incident outside they did not come as he had rung them too many times. Neighbours dogs dissappear all from around this guys house. The foreign workers in the house 3 doors up are tired of his setting police etc onto them. yes he is a very nice man hahaha - so am I when riled :mad:.

So I don't care if it is still a 13B-T it still goes very well and you definately know that its not stock when you step on the go a little faster pedal even if we did wind it back to stop it blowing so much black smoke as I am not "SABAH WONG in his 15B-T BJ43"

Why would I want to bore the block out 13B/14B is the same block/bore.

If I had some more time I would fit a 14B-T head but they are rumoured to be different . This and a 14B-T CRANK and pistons would make mine a 14B-T with a 13B-T serial number showing.

A 15B-T is out of the question with the road tax cost being way over $4000rm a year ($1,300USD). YOur road tax in SABAH is significantly different to ours.

I'm not after HP im after torque.

How can I put it on the dyno it was booked to be done in MArch last year and has been off the road ever since. I'm sure the dyno figures will shock me and the tuner and I can compare it to DEATHSTAR which is STOCK 13B-T.

There are a few item for you to consider.
The stroke on the 14/15bt is 12mm longer than the 13bt.
The 14bt head is also different with a larger inside dome and larger inlets/outlets, but on early models were same.

Increasing hp alway increase the torque, so does not matter how I put it.

As regard to road tax only those well off or on company ticket play big diesel engine over on Peninsular.

What you are doing is converting a 13bt to 14bt spec, a costly little exercise on its own. Your conversion alone must be in excess of 15k.

Unless you are doing competition, there is not so much point to tune up a 14/15bt engine to your specs.

Are you able to elaborate on your experience with 13BT's and any mods, ie fuel pump mods and how far you have pushed them?

I think the 13BT should get up around engine hp reasonably easily.

This is a dyno run of a 13BT making 74 rwkw on 37" through 4.11 diffs, H55F, stock dump pipe, 3'' exhaust and no intercooler. Not bad for a 4 cylinder. 719nm of torque at the wheels too, all done in 4th gear.

My 13BT is currently peaking at 21.5psi, intercooled, 3'' system but the boost builts up slowly.

Man if yours pushing that much mine cannot be far behind :)

Mine 13B-T and 14B-T Hybrid - 21PSI Boot. External wastegate, Intercooler, Modified air intake, Modified 14B-T PUMP, 14B-T timing gear, Modified CT26 Turbo (oops).

I cannot DYNO mine until its registered. Road transport Inspection being done next week and name change (finally to me) then only BLACKLIST to go then it can be registered - spent 4 frustrating hours there Monday and got nowhere.

I will do a video of it when back on the road.
