is this akin to the TELMA brakes?
 
The specs for the brake indicate it bends "up to 16 gauge steel" however that diff housing is out of thicker stuff than that - am I missing something?

Yes, this guy is breaking all of the rules with that brake.......but he has been doing it for over 2 years.
 
here is a project by one of our customers over on the lateral G forum. You will notice radius bending with a piece of solid rod as well as box bending......


There is not a single machine on the market today that can perform all of these functions at once.....except a magnetic box and pan brake.
