My wine distributor in Indiana who sells my organic vino is by trade an engineer for a pharmaceutical company. he started with home winemaking in his basement and growing vines in his backyard. now he owns a fairly successful small wine distribution company. It's definitely fun and not rocket science.

Rick- The fact that you can rebuild an 80 with your eyes closed means you'd likely be a very successful beermonger. Buy a kit and start brewing!!

Brewing beer is easy and fun!

Every homebrewer I've ever met can honestly say that they've brewed the best beer they've ever had, and it's believable. Beer is good fresh, and to your spec!

Hop over to your local homebrewing store, pick up a kit, and a copy of Charlie Papazian's Joy of Homebrewing.

Don't buy a Mr. Beer kit.

Hooray for beer!

I'll second buying Papazian's book. An easy read that explains everything to you.
Some good recipes too. You can get started for about $100 worth of equipment.

umm beer

I like the Sierra Nevada line, Glissade and now the Summerfest.

The 2nd beer I bought today, but I have not tried it yet?

The last beer is the absolute best...Triple brew and 10%.
You must not stir the hops in the bottom and chill it to perfection in an ice cold glass. mmmmmmmm:D

Many others come to mind, UFO, Ipswich Ale and Coors Light. That's right Coors Light-Silver Bullet.:flipoff2:

my new favorite line is out of Cooperstown, NY. The name of the company is Ommegang.

They typically sell in the large bottles and "RARE VOS" is my new favorite. They are a Belgium style brewery.

Right now Market Baskets in NH are selling a few flavors for 5.99 a bottle which is 2.00 if you would like to try it.

Ommegang

I'll pound down just about anything brewed by Southern Tier (NY) or Hill Farmstead (VT), they both offer exceptionally hoppy IPAs. But be careful they are very potent---some Southern Tier are double digit % alcohol....

Hill farmstead is very good

Last Sunday after to many years we got the pans and carboy out and cooked up a batch of Irish Red.
Enjoyed a 6 pack of Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter (9.5%) while we worked.
Will be bottling it up tomorrow night.
