And I'm one of them.

Hello all. After a few long and frustrating months of searching, almost finding, missing by one day, etc. I finally found what I was looking for. My new rig is a '97 LX450 w/ factory lockers. It's white w/ the champagne lower cladding.

I've been lurking on the board for quite a while, and it's been a great help in deciding what to buy. My current rig is a '70 Bronco which is a blast to run trails with, but requires a truck and trailer to get to far away places. The LX will be built into a long range runner. I wanted something that would be capable on the trails, yet have the creature comforts for the long haul.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say thanks for all the help you all have been (and I'm sure will be in the future.)

Sven

PS, here's the best I can do for a pic for now.

I love that color combo. Good score.

And welcome aboard!

Congrats,
Sean

Ali called me Saturday, right after the purchase, sounds like a nice score. Always good to hear the pink panty brigade is growing.

Welcome to the club. Now, as a great porn director once said, get it up and get it dirty! :flipoff2:

:flipoff2:

Sven, Illinois?????

Just sorta doesn't compute.

Sven,

Nice rig. Welcome aboard.

Welcome to the board! Now lets go wheeling!

Seriously though, woody said it. Keep an eye out in the trail ride sections. We're going out to the cliffs in marsailles IL this weekend, and i'm sure in a few weeks/month or so we'll be headed out to the badlands again. I'm at EIU and head over there from here, and it's not a bad drive at all.

welcome and :flipoff2:

Welcome. I hope you can make one of the events in the near future with the Windy City club or the Hoosiers.

Thanks all. I've got a lot of work to get it where I want it. Top of the list is sliders, tires, and lift. Bumpers to follow closely behind.

I'll have to check my schedule for Attica. I might be able to make it over, but depending on how things line out I maybe installing the sliders, tires, and lift.:D I'm heading up to Nicolete/Pipeline in WI the following weekend.

I've been wheeling my Bronco with the Chicago LR club, and decided I wanted something with some creature comforts for longer trips. I'll keep the Bronco around for trips to Cliffs. It's not impossible to leave Cliffs without body damage, but winning the lottery isn't impossibe either!!!

Congratulations. Wow that was fast. We met on Saturday right before you went shopping with Ali. I was the uninformed one standing next to Gumby. Very attractive color combo...

Congrats and welcome....nice LX how many miles?

C.E., Yeah, I was pretty much determined to be an LC/LX owner by the end of the day Saturday! This one was what I was looking for at a price I could live with. I missed a couple of other locked rigs by a matter of days so I didn't want another to disappear on me.

The LX has 137k miles on it.

Well,

I'm proud to say that Sven is my #4 :D LC/LX convert in the LR club. Sven is actually one of the smarter ones by not owning a LR previously

This rig is exceptionally clean and seemingly well maintainted by the PO. For those of you hunting for Pink Panties, be advised that all Lexus service depts are connected. This is a great thing for getting a print out for ALL of the maintenance records which can greatly influence a car purchase. I just wish the Toyotas were this connected

I'm looking forward to spending Sven's money some more :flipoff2: Now, where's my next victim?

Ali

ps can we have a Pink Pany icon?
