G'day got myself a new on going cruiser project its a FZJ75 troopy brought it from "Tour boy" (thanks for the easy transation) it's replacing my HJ61 (I Miss the turbo diesel all ready). The plan is fit the air lockers from the 60, replace the front diff housing with one from a hj75 to take the big diff, get the suspention to work! its very ridged atm 11 leaves out back. been doing some measuring this arvo looks lite sixty series rears may go into the front 80mm longer similar center pin distances not sure yet need to remove them to measure properly, I'm not sure what to do with the rear any sugestions welcome.

Ah! A gas-pot!

Nice truck, shame it doesn't have a diesel. I still really like your troopy.
If your going to swap in the big front diff know that you are only really increasing the pumpkin (ring and pinion size) size. No difference really on the axles or the birfs. Might not be worth your time, at least I don't think so.

But if you do you will need to get the low pinion front drive shaft as the one that is on your troopie right now won't be long enough apparently.

the full size front diff is much sronger than the smaller front and it allows the use of the full size lockers.
the driveshaft will be long enough, i believe but the flange bolt pattern is too small. you will need to replace the stub shaft

nice troopie congrats

ah forgot about the locker swap over....
Wayne when the heck are you going to finish that troopy?!?!:flipoff2:

Thanks the big diff swap is mainly for the lockers, as for diesel one day it will happen, it was $5000 more for the same car with a 1hz (witch im not a fan thirsty and slow + $4000 for turbo ect, vs 7000-$9000 to do a 1hdtfe conversion, now thats a real landcruiser engine! Wont be this week but its on the wish list

I thought they only had distillate west of Toowoomba? :grinpimp:
