Monday

The third day of our Far Beyond Swell Trip took us to Arch Canyon near Blanding Utah.

This was the last photo I captured before Bluecruiser's truck rolled into the wash. The sand appeared solid but gave way under his weight.

You mean like "rolled" rolled? Everyone OK? I sent him a text message but didn't hear back. You guys still out there?

EDIT: Today's sushi special: The April Fools Roll....... I took a bite.

I'm happy to report that due to some great recovery we managed to save Blue's truck from certain death. Actually, realistically he probably could have driven out on his own power. The big concern was the very real possibility of unseating a tire which may have caused a roll.

April Fools. :flipoff2:

I was on the trail, it was just a little washed out and way softer than I thought on the part of the trail that I took...back passenger slid down and I'm pretty sure I pissed myself a little....random pics...one are the new meats...not 37s

Somebody put a protractor on that pic and tell us how much...!

You rang? I wish the EXIF data in the image would store the angle since my camera has virtual horizon. Lets assume I am within a couple degrees of level. The trees in the background are tilted right by 1-2 degrees so we can subtract that from the indicated angle. I get 42-44 Degrees, i.e, pretty dang close.

nicely done, looks like optical distortion should not matter too much. And nice to see the correction added for a change. :)

That is up there indeed... Take the center of the hood and it's sitting pretty much above the tire contact patch line... I would have ran out of the truck screaming like a little girl... well, or be frozen in place and sucking up leather, more likely.... :D Then again, maybe it's only the driver that kept the thing from toppling over, so frozen is good, right?

It could be me, but I would think that is more then 44 degrees.... :grinpimp:

Those look like two different photos

nah, just the Earth doing its spinning bit... :)

but no matter, anything past 30deg is too much for my inner ear... and the rest... :D

and, yes, those limbrisers give you at least another 100HP... :)

They do help ,this 40 was behind me a few years back look at both seats
