What size tires was that FJC running? 37s? They look way bigger than yalls' 35s.

I ran 33s for that trip. The FJ is on 315/75R16s (35s) and Blue is on 295/70R18s. (35s). I'm guessing the FJ's look bigger because of the smaller truck/smaller wheel combo.
I will say this after the trip. 35s are an improvement in ALL technical off road conditions. The haters are gonna hate but they are simply wrong. The difference is amazing.
Continuing on, Blue and I drove a nasty old powerline road. We were the first people up it in a long time.

A trip late last year in South Africa.

Exactly one year ago this weekend, I took my silver 100 off road for the first time at a local Rowher Flats truck trail.
So it seemed fitting that a year later I took my new white 100 to the same place for its first shake down.
2 other Mudders from our local crew, Paulgardner and Boarderjab, joined.
It was Cali's first time off road. She drives to work with me everyday but has never been bounced around before.
The climbing begins.
At the top of the first climb we ran into a nicely restored and built Hilux also with a German Shepherd Dog in it.
We successfully climbed the steepest climb (picture is deceiving).
We stopped for lunch at the peak.
Cali tried to find the groundhogs.
The LabRak Antenna bracket is way nicer than my old homedepot home-brewed mount.
Beautiful views of the Bouquet Reservoir on the other side of the mountain.
Long, steep, loose decent let us practice our counter steering.
Spot the Land Cruisers.
