Trip to Central CA

Took a trip back home, where I grew up in Central CA. We drove down with the 4 kids to visit my mom and sisters who live an hour south of Fresno. While visiting, we met up with fellow mudder, Dolby, with his family and took a much needed break from the kids to explore the Sierra Nevada's a bit. Derek led the trip up to Bald Mountain, where we hung out for a while enjoying the day, while the jeepers gauked at Derek's Slee bumpers. Can't say that I blame them! He has a wonderful looking truck! Now, my wife is contemplating how we can purchase the bumpers for our truck. Here are a few pictures from the trip. I drove in most of the way and then got out with the camera to snap some shots. Didn't get a chance to drive until we were off trail! She absolutely loved the rocks!

12fishy, how come the front left tire was not active? does the 105 have ATRAC? any factory lockers on those rigs? i like your truck :)
Hi, Thanks.. The diffs are standard, open front and lsd in rear;)

Meet a dozen Land Cruiser on top of Mt Lemmon (8000'). A totally packed area with everyone trying to escape the 110° temp. What 150 yards of 4WD low range will give you:) Didnt see anyone except a bunch of deer early in the AM.

Tried to go home all dirt made it a 100 miles through some new area with every type of terrain, including a few water crossings.

Nice pics Phil! That is a beautiful area and as you said, just a little bit of some 4Lo action can get you away from the crowds. I saw you cruising down Scottsdale a couple of weeks back and the LC is looking good!

We got a good bit of rain a few days ago and 2000UZJ and myself couldnt resist the temptation to get all that GA clay out from under our 100s:D

club (Lowcountry Land Cruisers) went to Uwharrie Forest OHV this weekend and invited our brethren in Upstate Cruisers and Old North State Cruisers.

Had a great time....and my LX first wheeling trip since putting on new shoes and sliders. I was able to safely complete the hardest trail there...Daniel...plus Rocky Mountain Loop and Dickie Bell which was harder due to some sever washouts and rocks. Enjoy...

Only three of the 9 made it up Daniel that day past first two ledges you meet at very beginning....:) :steer:
