The damage Hurricane Gono left on some cruisers in Oman.. I'm sure they got them back running again.. I am impressed by them btw, they are working silently to repair all the damage and didn't ask for help from anyone.. way to go Oman

Adolf,
Very cool setup with the trailer. Post more pictures (or a link to where you have more).
I so much wish we could find the diesel here in NA, but were are SOL.

BTW, what mileage do you get (normal road/city driving) with the diesel?

Fully rigged and loaded, average is 16l/100km!
No trailer and not loaded, but with Roofrack, average is 13l/100km.
Range per tank (145l) between 900 and 1100 km.

Will post some more pics.

Two higlifts?

Hi

I think something unintended must have happened during upload/storage of pictures... it sure looks like my rig on the pictures, but the text is not mine... ??

Nevertheless, the two higlifts are there because I have one, and my trailmates hj61 resp hj61½ (80-engine :)) did not have quite the same load carrying capacity, so some of their stuff were loaded onty my rig... including another highlift.

We had food (water, meat, grains, bread, uht-milk, beer, redwine, coffee ...) for more than 10 days with us (SE and NO prices on heavy on some items..), did not buy much on the trip, and spares... nearly none needed, so weight was really up....

Regards..

Saleh,

Ver nice looking rig!

Two high lift jacks?

Is that a water bladder tank hanging on the front bumper?

Cheers,

front storage options

Hi

as an addition to my previous post:

No, the water bladder is resting on two jerry cans, that in turn rests on a crossbar, that rests on two halves of a roof bar. Each half roofbar fits the ARB round tubing, and is mounted vertical, resting on the top of the ARB bar on the high end.

Is that a good idea? No. The wheight was carried just fine. But the restriction of air in to cool did not overheat the engine, but may have contributed to the overheating of the tranny. And any luggage out there is in the way off road, on several occasions I felt my sight restricted too much.

Regards...

Also posted it in the Artistic Cruiser Thread. Don't know how artistic as it was, more of a mistake than anything else!
