Dang, that kinda makes me want to get black mirrors, especially since last week’s trail ride left mine looking like this:

View attachment 2980469

I bought a pair of black mirrors from a 2000 model LX part out. Then I sanded and sprayed them a satin black to more closely match the trim finish.

I did this knowing that someday I would need to respray the mirrors in black from off-roading pinstripes. I can respray a flat black much easier than trying to repaint mirrors the original paint color. I like the look because the mirrors blend with the window trim.

I need to get out there and find my way down as well. I like the photos!
Thanks! I love the lake and it’s close enough to my house. I do believe this is probably one of the only spots you can really drive up to the lake this close. Everything else is closed off or a public campground.

That's what I've seen too. That's why I'm surprised to see photos of people driving all the way down to the water and stumps. I'll have to search it out!

Lol, I was thinking the same. I've never quite understood the pathological hatred of even the smallest amount of rust and fender flares on this forum! 😁
I have an inexplicable and violent hatred of flares, even factory ones, but particularly those gulf coast ones. When I was on track to buy an 80, I was actively researching how to ditch the flares. I waved off on one 200, in part because of freaking gulf coast flares. And if I do go down the GX road, won’t even consider a 470….the 460 looks sooooo much cleaner.

Just needed to get that off my chest.

No-flare pic for the thread.

With my new VT tags! (Registered it for two years there so no we don’t have to futz with registration renewal during our planned trip to Europe starting this summer. And, no, Vermont doesn’t care where you live or what DL you have….)
