I’d been wondering the same thing, I use to shoot canon 5d’s back in the day but have been on Sony a7’s for the last few years. Would of gone Nikon but the lens switch killed it for me. What body?

thanks for the props! yeah once ya got a bunch of coin in glass it's hard to switch... We bring multiple bodies so we don't have to swap out the lenses and can just throw the camera on the seat and grab it quick.. Nikon D6, D850 and D700...

I picked up a D7000 not too long ago to start learning on. Have a 35mm lens but have been wanting to get a 50mm after using my brother's.

50mm 1.4 is an awesome lens, that's the one to grab IMO... I usually shoot it around F2.8 and it creates a nice depth of field with great bokeh etc... On the D7000 a 35mm lens is about the equivalent of a 50mm due to the crop factor of your camera being something like 1.6 ish I think. What's the F stop of your 35mm F1.8?

Got some bad intel that there would be foliage up in the mountains, everything still green as hell up here. Oh well, got a chance to offroad the LX a little bit and snap some pics. Pictures don't show it but the rocks/boulders on this trail are huge, and the water makes it slippery to climb over too. The other side of the water crossing, that incline is like 30 degrees, filled with loose slipper boulder like rocks.

Canaan Loop Rd.? I want to get up there and run that one this fall.

I'd say the fall foliage will be booming in about 3 weeks give or take. The mountains are tough to judge. I've seen the higher ridges almost bare when there is still a lot of green down in the valleys.

Yeah i was disappointed, so i'll be back in a couple weeks to check it out again. I love the fall, the only time where i can enjoy the weather and not get hit with allergies from spring and heat blast from summer.
