Day 8, and all are still alive. However all National Forests are closed due to fires, so we’re detouring into Flagstaff instead of camping.

Caught this out of the corner of my eye. I can’t imagine the story. Down a hollow 100’ off the forest service trail. No foundation or evidence of a structure (and the terrain wouldn’t seem to support one). Middle of nowhere.

And home to Texas. 3400 miles, 295 Miles Off-road.

Can you tell me which Steelie wheels those are? I like that look!
I just ordered in some Tundra 18 inch steelies, it's been years ago now but if you search 18 inch Tundra steelies you should be able to find places selling used repainted ones. I paid 50 bucks each and they looked brand new when they arrived! thanks,

Picked this guy up in Carlsbad, I think. Chased him out onto the roof in Cloudcroft, NM, but he slithered back in the hatch crease and was still snuggled in there (with the door seal keeping him from getting in the cabin) when I set up camp in Gila National Forest a few hours later.

I finally convinced him to abandon ship in Gila.

Visited briefly with a cousin.

Bear with me, as I think this is my first post here, and definitely my first time posting pictures.

My parents bought this 2004 as a dealer demo in 2005 with around 5k miles. A few years ago, I kinda got into fly fishing which led me into the (for lack of a better term) overlanding scene (basically just using a capable vehicle to get to cool spots and camp out of). They replaced their LC with a new Tahoe, but liked the LC so much that they kept it. So the wheels started turning as to what I could turn it into, but I didn't have the free cash or the garage space to pick it up (already had a 2018 F250 Powerstroke and a 1989 Jeep YJ).

Fast forward to last month. With the way used vehicle prices skyrocketed and a few remaining bills from my wedding a few months ago, I sold my F250 for almost what I paid for it new 3 years ago. I bought this off my parents with 150k miles. It's pretty much immaculate with exception of a couple door dings and the corner of the driver armrest having a hole worn in it.

The day I got it, I removed the running boards and pressure washed the peeling molding off the driver's side. In the last two weeks, I installed WeatherTechs throughout and 285/70 KM3s on 17x9 Icon Rebounds. And yes, they rub.

Next on the list is a lift, then a bumper with lights and winch. Eventually plan on the works: roof rack, drawers, maybe lockers, etc.
