Going through pics this morning while we chill before heading to Indian Boundary campground.

Packed up for a two week trip. For 30 years, camping to my wife meant a 40’ 5th wheel. She decided we could give “roughing it” a try. Certainly no room for a third. Back seat is equally full. I think she sees the benefit of a roof rack now.

We head out tomorrow, with all 8 seats filled with people…packing now!

Day one of 28- on the road in a few! 8 people including my mother in law. 2 weeks of overlanding and two weeks around Sedona, AZ. Also, how hard is the OME rear spring upgrade? Probably too much weight for the AHC…stays in L when full of folks.

Not hard at all. Many posts here outlining a few simple steps to switch rear springs. I would suggest using the Toyota LC springs instead of aftermarket.
Nice Blue Vapor Metallic truck!

Hello everyone, new to mud and I just picked up a new to me 2004 LX470 168k miles, really lucked out w/ this one as the previous owner had all the receipts imaginable for this tank. My other car is a Mk7.5 Golf R so going from LOWLIFE to having a literal boat takes some getting used. I had to set the AHC to sport just so I could feel the road more. Looking forward to getting some better wheels and tires, the pitted and flaking chrome wheels just dont do it for me.

I'll keep the AHC for now till it totally konks out. I did notice on the drive home that the oil pressure gauge was not getting any readings, I'm hoping it's just a bad sender and not a dead cluster (even though the cluster illuminates etc) I'm in socal so hoping to meet some LC owners soon.

The oil pressure naturally runs pretty low on the 2UZ.

So, when the only thing the only description you have in the trail guide is “dirt”...

And you get to the top and the realize how much harder it’s going to be to get down...

I’m still amazed at how effortlessly this truck, loaded to the gills with camping gear, can tackle the trails.

Cold Spring Lookout Tower, Cherokee National Forest

Is now apparently no longer there. A bit disappointed, but beautiful scenic drive nonetheless.
