Yes I can. With 4 bikes on there, it is quite heavy and awkward to swing down.
I must be a weak softy because I couldn't prop it up with one hand while putting the upper pin in with the other. Had to hold it up with both hands while my daughter put the pin in.

You could use a ratchet strap to winch the loaded rack back into position (Though I appreciate involving the kids in most vehicle recreation tasks)?

Did a quick overnight in the Tahoe National Forest, first time with the little guy.

16 Creek, KY. OnX rated as a 4. When I got to the bottom it was at least that, and constant. I’ve got to get better about taking pictures of the challenging stuff, but I’m too busy driving! failed to take a picture of the big mud hole that drove my decision to turn around about 40% through. I’m sure glad this truck doesn’t need much room to turn around.

Going through pics this morning while we chill before heading to Indian Boundary campground.

Packed up for a two week trip. For 30 years, camping to my wife meant a 40’ 5th wheel. She decided we could give “roughing it” a try. Certainly no room for a third. Back seat is equally full. I think she sees the benefit of a roof rack now.

I definitely used every inch available to get turned around in front of a mud hole the other day. Backup camera helped for sure. When the saplings moved with my front bumper I found that limit.
