Had a very eventful trip today, lol. Found a very local trail to me that was finally open and I got a chance to explore, beyond just shooting up there.
Found some snow and experienced my first, REAL, oh Sh** stuck moment. Coming up a hill on a switch back I pulled over to let someone pass and got a little too close to a ditch. Wheels kept spinning and dragged me closer to the ditch. Pulled out the old shovel and recovery boards and got out after a few minutes. Some very helpful ATV'ers came by and lent a hand too. Always travel prepared when going it ALONE!

Woke up to between 8” and 12” of snow in Central Texas this morning at the ranch. First time in the snow with this rig. Had a blast.View attachment 2549510
You guys have more snow than we do in the N. IL/WI area this year. Crazy considering you're well over a thousand miles south. We literally had one snow "storm" this year which maybe dumped 5-6" of snow and that's it. Last year was similar.

Man last year we only had 0.6" of snow in the DC area, usually average around 15". I had to drive 3 hours to the mountain this year to enjoy that fresh pow, might as well put drag radials on the cruiser, nothing here this year.

Took the 98 LX out into the TX Hill Country to run in the 6" of snow that fell. AMAZING day!

Picked this one up today. A 2000 with 273K miles on her. Plan on building it out for a serious over land vehicle. OME Heavy, ARB Deluxe Front, Smitty Built 10K wench, Smitty Built Gen 2 RTT, Iron Man Front Diff Drop, SPC UCAs, Pioneer Platform rack with backbone rails. Need suggestions for lights and tires. Will build my own draw system and have the ICECO fridge already. The only thing that I have found wrong is the driver side inner oil seal on the rear needs replacing and the diff lock sensor. You can tell this was a soccer mom driven vehicle, probably never even seen dirt. Never left the highways of SOCAL.

Yeah. That's the second weekend in a row. I didn't have a chance to make it out there last weekend, but it was a light dusting there. West Texas has had well over 12" - 24" in spots the last two weeks. More than I can ever remember.

I didn't get to play on snowy trails yesterday, but I did go out and take a few pictures of the 100 in the snow. This was the most snow we've gotten in Central Texas since I've lived here (20 years), we had 6+ inches at our home in Round Rock. Weird, but cool!
