Darnit man, I have seen ppl take a better picture with a potato! Still, the squared off body and squarish wheel wells make it look more like 79 than a 100!
Haha definitely a potato would be better than my phone. Friends don't let friends buy motorola. Definitely not a 100, something in the 70 series I'm sure

More likely, somebody picked up a non-US badge and some non-US graphics to add a little unique look to their vehicle. That said, you never know with Toyota, they have always been known to pick up the occasional vehicle destined for a different market to close a gap on import numbers or fulfill an order. I notice that this vehicle doesn't have the wing/wind deflector either, which is also rare, and the body-mounted side indicators. Maybe it "did" sneak in from somewhere else? I can see people adding badges ad graphics but not necessarily cutting into the body to add lights.

I would be very surprised if Toyota had imported a one of a kind vehicle into the US to sell. The regulatory hurdles seem too much for that to happen.

Pre 2006 IFS 100's are legally importable.

Thanks Hoser. I will now look for one. It was an impressive vehicle.

any specifications on engines? I would think only the v8 is import eligable but maybe IFS diesels are technically possible

A milkshake and a cruiser, this was how me and the wife (of course with our toddler at the back) capped our Wednesday at Red Rock Canyon just 10mins West of Las Vegas.

Phase 2 done on the optics upgrade.

So just went for a pretty long drive. 39 degree it hit today. 38 at the moment around town, the sun is quite hot on the cehicle, you can feel how hot the steel is (indication of how hot car is). This condenser fan is doing next to nothing, the car is still warm even tho the air coming through does seem to be maintaining a little bit cooler.
All I can do now is fix the broken fan shroud and if that doesn't bring the heat down around ALL 3 radiators (radiator/condenser/transmission cooler), then next option is move the condenser fan closer to the condenser (possible). It's currently sitting about 2-3 inches back as that was the best mount I could get. I can get it as close as 1 inch away with a little customisation.

Does anybody have or have painted their front turn signal housings orange? Kinda digging the look..

spent Christmas / New Years roaming Arizona. First time out there , highly recommended checking out if you haven’t been. Amazing state. Went to cinder hills volcanic OHV park. Hit several trails in Sedona , and checked out the Grand Canyon. Drove my 2001 Lx470 which performed flawlessly (aside from 11mpg)

Beautiful rig, beautiful scenery and great pictures! You are making me envious! What sorcery did you use to mount the spare wheel up there?

It bolts to the frame. Pretty heavy duty. I have 20” rims with 34” tires and drove from Tampa to Arizona. Wheeled for almost two weeks straight and it’s still solid. Only negative is you have to cut holes in your bumper in several spots.
