Took the truck off pavement for the first time ever. Hurricane Creek to Max Patch in beautiful WNC. Thought this would be a fun “bunny slope” trail for first timers, ended up white knuckling the whole time but she made it and we are psyched to do it again!

I was there last week and decided not to take on the Hurricane Creek since it felt a little risky with no support vehicle and with 3 young kids in the back seat. How long did it take you and what cause the white-knuckling?

We went Saturday afternoon alone (first mistake) but wound up going behind an experienced couple who go to Uwharrie a lot who would stop after more difficult terrain to make sure we made it.

It took us about 2 hours to get from 40 to Max patch - lots of other vehicles on the trail. The only two parts of the trail that worried us was a deep mud track and a steep-ish rock climb. I think most of the white knuckling came from our inexperience! Our stock 100 w 33in AT Toyo tires did amazing and we had 0 issues.

Took the family camping at Davis Mtn State Park this weekend. Saw the Milky Way just by looking up from our campsite each night. Didn't get a chance to go to McDonald this time but have been a few times before.

Stopped along the way for some gas (obligatory pic) and was in a small town that still had these 'old' pumps.

Greetings all! My first post..

Had to wait on posting a photo of my new (to me) 100 series until getting some new shoes on it and getting out in the woods for some fun. This was up in the Tahoe National Forest near White Cloud Campground.

I am the third owner of this 2001 LX470. Seems it was quite the family car before. Well, it's going to have a whole new lease on life from here out as I build it up for the trials, bit by bit.

The forums here are amazing. Thank you all in advance! I hope to contribute graciously, as well.

Welcome and nice looking rig! I’ve been around for only a short while but do agree on the quality here!
