It's been a while since I updated my build thread but it's coming along. Over the last few months I have regeared to 4.88, mounted my slee sliders (required cutting the mounts and welding new custom one to work withe the 4+ drop brackets), rebuild the front axle, replaced the entire front end steering components, and added a block heater. I will try to add some photos this week on the detail when I finish up a few more other small projects. I am currently 1/2 way through removing the factory roof rack, and I am still wiring the electronics!!

I haven't had much time to wrench on the FZJ lately but I did receive some way cool YodaTeq Ditch Light Mounts, and a Ultra Gauge this week. I want to replace my wood dash panels too. Anyone out there have any to recommend?

It's been a while since I updated my build thread. Post #1 is kinda updated on my progress. I have been having some issues with y cruiser so I haven't been doing "fun stuff" with it lately. I needed up having to re-gear the front axel with a new set of gears. My installer seem to have did a poor job and they were crazy loud. I also had my EMS Exhaust bust it's flex sections. What a fun job that was to replace. First I tried some short 4" vibrant sections. I thought they would work since they were the same length as the originals. No go. I ended up using new 6" sections to allow for more flex and to give the extra length that the system needed. I think that the poor fit (being too short on the downpipe) cause the failure and my constant exhaust leak.
To weld in the new sections I removed the manifold and used them to create a jig to tig weld the new flex sections in. This required installing and removing the manifolds like 12 times to ensure proper fit. At least now I am happy with the exhaust, for the first time.

Used these sections:
