Okay it always seems like we put off some sort of mod, repair or maintence until the last minute so go a head an post up what you will be working on until 2am of that day our are leave for Fall Gathering.

Yes I am lame and my truck is apart and won't be there but I want to get the frame painted before i go..... :D

Last night I worked on putting a stinger on a buddy's heep. We'll see if that gets done.

Making a skidplate, step/sliders, swingout tire carrier and finish the cage. It just ain't gonna happen,,,,

new radiator as mine sprung an untimely leak.. exhaust manifold gasket.. adjust rear drums.. adjust parking brake.. throw skidplate on.. change diff lubes.. new steering stabilizer shock on.. put swampers on.

this should all be done by tomorrow afternoon.. don't wanna stress at the last minute.. see everybody there!

I'm trying my hardest to get my truck on the road. I need an FJ40 carb and a skidplate. I will be bringing a membership application and checkbook! Just not sure if the 40 will make it there. Last night I tried driving down the interstate a few miles and the damn thing just cant keep up. I think the fuel pump cant keep up with the carb and the bowl drains too quickly. I adjusted the float height, idle jets and idle speed and took it out. Works fantastic around town, just not at higher revs. I checked the pump pressure gauge and it was bouncing from 6 to 2.5 and making odd sounds. I have another electric pump that I may try and also have the factory pump installed. I dont know how good it will be since its been run empty for several hours. The 40 has a Holley carb on it from the PO which I rebuilt and I think its adjusted correctly. If I had an Aisin, I think I could just hook it up and go. Do the 2F carbs have a return? The Holley doesnt.

Any ideas?

Been over a year since was my 40 was even on the road. I'm replacing my leaky gas tank and repairing the rusty passenger side floor well where it sat. I need to reroute the exhaust to avoid CO poisoning. I tuned it up and it starts and runs OK, at least before all the fuel as ran out. Rear locker on hand would be a plus, but not sure I have the time. (Junior - Help!) A bit of body touchup and then getting it to pass NH safety inspection.

My FJ62 now needs a rear brake line. Anyone want to buy it cheap for $1250 firm?

The '94 FJ80 still needs rear brake work and has sprung a leak in one of the lines from the tranny to the radiator cooler. $2500 and its yours, but you will need a pressure washer to clean it up. No locking diffs. Worth more in parts.

clean out the junk in the back and figure out what the big clunk is back there. Rear body mounts? Not sure.

Stuff the front knuckles full of grease and pray the birfs hold up (clicky).

Get a full and complete coolant flush as my coolant is still a brown mix o pink and green.

I have a carb that should be in good shape from an 87 or I think I have one from a 81 that probably needs a rebuild if you are inerested. Both are Aisin.

So today I started on the engine swap. hopefully that'll be done tomorrow, then I gotta get two tires swaped onto rims, and ill weigh how much time ive got and either make some new shackles for the rear and relocate the shackle hangers or ill make a winch mount and mount the winch. Hopefully ill have time for both. possibly for neither. gotta get the motor goin vrrrooommm blap blap bahh bhah vroooom first. (had thought about showin up to fg with a set of hood stacks, but possibly that'd rule out any night wheeling)

Got the spare, hilift, and tool boxes loaded.

Got the CB in the truck but have no clue if it works (magnetic antenna, lighter plug power for the CB.) Will be testing that on site I guess. It was all free so I can't complain I guess.

Tried to do my grease work today but after loading a new grease cartridge in my gun won't work. No clue why not. It just won't build pressure. Thoughts?

Short week to cram in some vitally important "real job" work as well as the final details on FG. Heading out first thing Thursday morning.

got my chrome kit from JC whitney yesterday got most of it installed. just have to remove the winch and replace it with the chrome push bar.

Finish building the front end, should be done tonight.
cut and weld driveshafts,
Weld up shock mounts
run some more brakelines
finish hooking up and bleed out the powerstering assist.
swap on my tires onto this POS and take it for a test run around the neighborhood.

Got a bunch of cool electrical things done today on the 80. some more 12v outlets, Dual battery tray, Inteligent Battery system installed, CB installed, new extra fuseblock intalled. Anyone bringing a SWR meter?

Front end is done, hydro assist is done, waiting on a couple banjo bolts for the brake system, then that will be done and ready to bleed out.

Picking up exhust system pieces today, going to flex it out and get the front shocks on there. Going to try to get the drive shafts welded up tonight too.
