Hey Zack (or anyone really), you got a truck bench seat anywhere in your pile'o'parts? Got a photographer friend looking for one to borrow for a CD cover shoot.

What type of truck bench seat? I have the rear upper and lower seats from a FJ60 and this is a bench.

I'd think a rear FJ60 bench would work fine.

You looking to sell, or could she borrow it?

I no longer have the parts cruiser in my yard. It went home to Arkansas with the owner.

How many of you DixieLand guys are gonna make it to GSMTR this year??? I just noticed Roger didn't post anything up about GSMTR in your club thread. Thanks, Rance

Whoever says you don't need a press to install the adjustable ironman bushings underestimates how much easier it is with one.

Also, stock the stock bushings are no fun to press out. I thought ghetto press was going to finally give out. maybe time to upgrade to a real 20t press.

I couldn't wait to get off work to do a HG test so I went to the parts store (autozone) across the street. They have never heard of a HG test. But I did buy enough fuses to replace everything that blew. Now all my lights/dash etc work. But I still have some slightly more than normal smoke and a strong vibration, especially in gear while stopped.

That's because they are in retail. Not auto mechanics. What you should have asked for was a block tester. Also tell thm they also rent the test fluid. I had to show them on their own sheet where the rent code was...

I have a buddy who i already talked to about the kit he works at an advance across town Ill go see him this weekend.

The vibration stopped on the way back to work when it stopped trying to idle at 400....

and I cranked right up 3 times so maybe something just drained that battery while it was parked, I havnt driven it except to move it down the hill to wash it since last weekend, I could have left a door ajar or something. I still plan on upgrading batteries because I never had any kind of battery problem with the toyota battery until it got a dead cell... and who knows how long that battery limped along before it finally gave up on me.

First pics are 95+ LCAs compared to the older ones.

Then pics of what Matt is sleeving the newer, larger, control arms with.

for the record, 1.25 black pipe is a perfect fit for the later control arms, slip fit but I had to use the hi-lift to compress it all together. total thickness is now 5/16"

hopefully tomorrow night I can get Matt's sliders done.

when you do yours you should get some hi-lift action shots.

i cant decide if I want to paint mine green to match the axle or use your idea and go pink.
