We went rear facing infant specific until a little over a year. I know that is a no-no by todays standards, but after a year, it becomes increasingly difficult to keep them entertained looking at the headrest. Also, if they grow reasonably quickly, after about a year, leg room into the seat back begins to become a premium. I think we were in a Graco for a while, but I think we went to a flip around Britax before the end of the first year thru year 3 or maybe 4 and now she is in a booster, Graco I think.

Also, my part of the rear to front swap is that when you are driving with a little on, you are going to be super vigilant and the chances of you hitting someone is far less likely than you being hit by someone. The rear facing is to protect from whipping the head forward in a frontal collision, however in the event of being rear-ended, the intent is negated. While I know I don't have all the research and testing, but general logic tells me I should be right on that. Fortunately we never tested either theory.

She was a trooper on that first trip. Had a blast and it was all of our first real wheeling trip. She has been on a few more, and now we are going to start working her into more trips since she has gotten a little older.

And @Godwin pretty well hit it. The fear will keep you on your toes, but the biggest thing I can offer is just hold on tight and cherish what you can because far to soon kindergarten will be starting and you are dropping them off trying to figure out where the time went.

It is the greatest and most terrifying adventure you guys will ever take together, it is Awesome!!

Drunk Australian Car-Torching Prank Goes Awry, Still Deemed 'Hilarious'

Growing up my dad had a guy from southwest VA that worked for him. Fantastic employee but he couldn't read. I was always sent with him on deliveries to give directions. He always told me about his granddad who still lived in VA without running water or electricity and made moonshine for a living. He had an old Ford van that he showed up to work one Monday with and it was bright cherry red. Apparently some of his cousins came down from VA with some shine and got to drinking and painted the van. None of them remembered painting it at all and he was so proud, said "it only has one run".

I just got an email stating the libertarian convention at UAB this weekend is having their social at cahaba brewing.... we have obligations I can't get out of that day, but if they end early enough I'm going to try to make it.

An alabama local ecenomist Jeffrey tucker is the key note speaker.

I'm not familiar with "hank tools"

Not sure. Just ask for 2003 F150 4x4 rear with +2 lift. It'll give you 11.5" of usable travel.

The car quest ones are the best, I just bought these because of the price and convience of getting them that day. Wish I had waited.

If it is the same ones you advised me to get then it is Carquest part # gabriel g63715

Awesome, thanks.

Moved these here so Eric wouldn't complain about us messing up his thread. So how do the ford shocks work on a non-bouncing rig? My bilsteins are too short and I think I need more damping with the high spring rate ironman springs I am running.(exactly 3" lift front and back)

These are both around $20 - one is a little longer and is for the 7700# towing package:

More Information for MONROE 32305

I like the length of the shorter but might need the higher rate of the others.

edit: those gabriels are for the non-7700 and are closer to $30 on rockauto

I dont tow much if any with mine. I cant really give you much as to how they work on non bouncing. They do good on the road. I've put 200 miles on mine since I put them on last year and I like them. I got them mainly due to the cost. I'm sure E has better info

I ran the Gabriels on Mulligan for the first time. They're bigger in diameter than the cheaper Monroe are. They felt great to me as a daily driver.
If you want to "try before you buy"... Brad may let us test drive Mulligan one day if we ask him, see how you like them.
And actually, Zac has them now too... so maybe he'll come to a meeting and we can do doughnuts in the parking lot...

But do you yell ROH TAHDE when you mash the gas? That's the real question.

Who said "hey I got a great idea for a flag!...... A Rocket Chicken!"

It is a flag that appears to display a Rocket Chicken.

The flag is of the National League of Democracy; the main opposition party in Myanmar. Myanmar is holding a election on November 6th in which the party is favored to win.
