the first picture is of my stock rear line next to a ironman rear line.
the ironman front line is exactly the same length as the line I removed from the rear.
iron man shipped me two lines for the rear and one front (opposite what I need)
the front lines are useless (they are too short). If I had received 3 rear lines I could have "made it work"
the front lines are 1 and 1/4 inch longer than the lines I removed, but I had to remove one of my hard lines.
the "front" lines are not female female, like my truck needs. ACC was there to walk me through instillation. you are supposed to eliminate the small hard line that goes from where my line wrench is in the second picture to the back of the caliper. once you remove that hard line and go straight to the hard line on the frame the "extension" seems negligible.
If you used the "front" line, the line is not long enough to go from frame to caliper. the rear line must be used to make this work.
that second picture is how the line would work, very well, (again this is the ironman REAR line, not what they call "front" ) if both ends had been female, but since I had to remove the lower hard line there is almost no slack in that line.
I didnt get a final picture, but it goes like this.
using a rear line, female end of the iron man flex line goes to the hard line on the frame, the male end goes to the back of the caliper behind the shock mount.
the stock camry line (which I still have on because ACC is sending me another ironman rear line in exchange for the front line) seems a much better replacement than the ironman set.
clear as mud right?
