I fixed it for you. Good Gawd man, ever heard of punctuation? You practically need an interpreter to read that post. :flipoff2:

As far as the sliders go, Slee's step sliders are really nice. My 4 yr. old has no problems getting in and out. They stick out far enough to give a reliable step; but they don't stick out too far to be a liability on the trail. They actually work nicely to keep the doors away from rocks and ruts by pushing the 100 away from them (kind of a lever effect).

Strength wise, they are plenty strong. I have had my 100 high-centered on them several times and they haven't budged.

And lastly, the finish on them is nice. It's a rough finish that provides great traction when they're wet. It's kind of like a sand paper finish that's been powder coated.

Or one handed... I didn't say that. :)

Thanks for the info on the sliders, I'm getting some as soon as I stop sending all my $$ to Mot.

Also great as pivot points for really sharp turns in tight, boulder-strewn terrain. I've used the outriggers on the 80 to pivot around many a boulder...

Where's some pix of this build? :flipoff2:

Sorry for the delay. I've been elbow deep in a 2.8 TGV diesel repower of a D90. Now that its just about finished, I'll once again have time to work on the LC. I'll post the progress pics in the second post of the thread so you don't have to jump from page to page.

No complaints from the wife or kids. They only appear to be an inch higher than the stock ones. Plus, whenever we pull into the garage or park, I drop it into low. It also helps to mask the additional 2.25" lift. The powdercoat is no-slip.

Pics or it didn't happen!

Do the AHCs still lower themsevles back down after you reach 25 mph. Has Slee put anything into production yet to avoid this?

Love the D90. My neighbor has one, and it looks great. I can't wait to see the LC build up. I never get tired of these.

Looks like I'm following your lead Kneel...

...unfortunately I was stupid enough to sell my D90 though :censor:

Still have a few ('92 RR that's the toy, '95 RR that's the Holy Grail and a '00 RR Holland & Holland that I can't let go).

I'm just starting to look at LCs to replace a car I just sold (BMW = Bust My Wallet) for a daily driver. I need three rows and everything else is too damn big or depreciates worse than the H&H did.

I thought it would be a stocker but I've already seen the pictures here and I'm prolly screwed...

Now if I can just find one to go look at before it's already sold that would be great!

Congrats on the build on the new LC. Here's my 90 ('97 LE #106),

Nice D90! Is that a NAS-spec vehicle (I see the external roll cage assembly)? How's that 4-speed ZF? I thought long and hard about a D90, but only wanted a 94-95 NAS to get the 5-speed manual, then send it to East Coast Rovers for the TDI swap. But that would have been serious $$$, so the CFO put the kibosh on that plan... :frown:

It is a NAS D90. The tranny was fine in it. I am too lazy for a manual so when I started looking I only looked at '97s for the slushbox. I bought it with 12K miles and sold it just under 50K. No problems during that time. My '95 RR has the same tranny with 139K with no problems at all.

The 300Tdi swap would have been nice. The 4.Slow is not enough for a 90 - especially when you start loading it up with stuff. On that trip I towed a small tent camper behind it...once. I sold the camper when I got back to Texas. Even with 4.11s and 33s (stock was 3.54 and 31s) it didn't have enough on the highway and would yield an astounding 10-12mpg. Everyone I know that has the LT77 (in '94) and R380 ('95) 5-speeds say that 5th is useless if you increase the tire size and don't do some serious regearing. Maybe the TS could chime in on since it would be first hand experience.

Did this come to a screeching halt?
