Yeah, I usually take Claritin D in the spring. I have got to get some bush hogging done this weekend, but hopefully I can get the posts for the lean-to up so that we are moving that forward. I been talking about that damn thing for months, finally time to get that thing up and going.

Clearing is about finished up. Very happy with how things are coming along. I will post the guys info after we settle up.

The house will sit somewhere in that general area.

After a lack-luster day yesterday due to having to run all over east Egypt I wanted to hit it hard today. After running down and picking up a full set of doors for the 80 o got out there around 11 and spent the next 6 hours mowing and cleaning and moving stuff around.

Moved all this lumber out of the way

Hoping to get this little bunch of trees clipped and cleared so I can widen the drive in front of the barn.

You can kind of see the orange paint on them, basically from the drive over to the first little opening where you can see the barn thru.

Maybe there will be an after picture tomorrow.

Been looking back thru my pics and realized that there are bunches that never made the cut.

Found this one of Erin and I putting the ridge vent material on.

And Erin helping out up top with the roof install. (She hated being up there)

It feels like we have been building this thing Foorevveer.... It's been an adventure, but next time I'm just gonna pay some body to do it. I ain't skeered to work, but I hate that I don't have a finished anything just yet. Heck at this rate, the house may be finished before we get the barn done....

Well the clearing got the nod from MTEMC for the power and the clearing around the barn and house are done. It is amazing how different things look out there.

Before and after

Got a few more I'm trying to get loaded but MUD is not wanting to cooperate, so more in a few.

Couple more. Before and after looking at generally the same area.

You can see in the first picture the stumps that are now gone. The sami is visible under a tarp in both to the right and hasn't moved to help give reference.

Locust stump he ground down.

Lots more to come, stay tuned.

lookin good @jynx

got that house person ready to build ya'lls new love nest yet .

Thanks Rocky. Lol, I hope Glen got his pencil sharp. Liked what he had to say, look forward to seeing his number.

Well meeting went well tonight. Gonna talk to the bank tomorrow and see what they need to get our financing squared away.

Thanks again @FJCRAWLER Glenn is good people.

Well, we spent some time this afternoon out at the farm. We were going to do a drone fly-over but we're missing some hardware... so E took it up just to remember how to fly it. We spent some time kind of laying things out. I need to grab a bundle of stakes tomorrow to tie down the house and spot the temp pole. I have asked MTEMC if they can shift the last pole over just a little which I think will help the view out the front door.

Hoping to close on financing this week and hoping to get Glenn going in 2-3 weeks. About to get real busy around these parts, hope I survive.

Staked the house today after work. Pretty sure I lost 3 or 4 lbs in water weight. Temp wasn't bad at all, but it had to have been 95% humidity or more out there.

Kind of hard to make out, but it's all laid out, and as square as I could get it for a rough in.

Well, we closed last Friday and we are waiting on the septic permit so we can pull the building permit. Supposed to start next week so I am hoping to it the first part of the week.

We spent today out there today, I had intended to work on getting the new suspension under my 4Runner this weekend, but since I would like to be able to pull it inside to work on it I decided to tackle the garage doors instead. I got all the bracing up on the tracks and got one of the doors ready for tensioning. Tomorrow I plan to get the other door squared away and get them both tensioned. Once that s done, I am going to see about buttoning up some misc. unfinished work. The plan is to work towards towards actually being able to get in and out of all the doors, clean up and get ready to hit it hard next weekend.

Erin took another vid with the GoPro and drone again today, but our new internets connection is not so speedy so I will post it once it gets done uploading.

I miss my old internet connection, this took 3 hours to upload.... We are still learning to handle the drone so take your motion sick pill. Also, bump it to 1:25 for takeoff, the quad takes a little time to initialize and the camera was just running while that was going on.

Maybe we will look into how to add music or something eventually, but for now, enjoy

Looks like she's getting the hang of it, I'm jealous. Maybe you guys should bring it to Moab...

Thanks Ted. She gets better every time she flies, I need to get her a couple more batteries so we can get more than one flight per trip out of the drone.

Today was a successful day at the farm. We made a run to town to get some materials and once we got back we had one operable door in short order with the second one an hour or so later. Installed the locks and now all the doors open, close and lock. We did some straightening as well. The place is starting to come together.

Well, we are STIILLLLLL waiting for the septic permit, not going to get into the particulars as it just makes my BP go up, but to make sure that the state folks have no excuses, we spent the afternoon mowing and bush-hogging to tidy up the septic field area, around the barn and where the house will be. Overall it was a good day. Hopefully the state will get out there tomorrow so we can get on with this party.

Well we finally started on the lean-to today. Got 4 of the 5 posts in the ground before Erin have to cut out. We got 1 more hole and one more post to get in the ground and braced, maybe tomorrow.

If the effin septic permit girl would get off her ass and do our site work we will be ready to start. I'm getting pretty annoyed at her seeming disregard for how her lack of action ripples down to the rest of us who actually need to move on with things....

Got a call today from Septic permit girl, on-site and checking things out. FINALLY!!! So hopefully the permit will follow tomorrow or Friday. MTEMC drilled the holes for the pole line over the last couple days so guessing poles and wire will go up by the end of the week.

Hole

Those bad boys had to be over 6 feet deep, and in solid rock....
