@tkinze that bucket is one of the things that I was most pleased about. It will make moving stone and grading things much easier. Will probably try it out after momma mows with it.

We have it parked under what little bit of metal is on the lean-to to keep it dry until we can move some things around tomorrow and it gets its proper home inside the doors.

Id park that puppy inside and out of sight, too many crooks even out in the country.

Yeah, the mini will be loosing it's parking spot tomorrow so it can be pulled inside, I was informed of that on the way home from the dealer after we signed the paperwork. Can't say I argued even a little, it is the only 100% brand new thing I have ever owned so I'm gonna do my best to take good care of it.

Just trying to keep up with you bud :D

I spent my day finishing up the roof of the lean-to. Got all the metal on up top so we are all covered up now. So now I just got to get everything trimmed in. I didn't get any pictures of my hard work but I will grab a couple tomorrow. Mama was the star today, she spent all day on her new toy.

She is getting pretty good with the loader.

MUD won't let me attach the picture of her mowing, so will have to try that one tomorrow.

After we finished up we cleaned up inside the barn, moved some things around and made a spot just for her to sleep.

Tomorrow I think we'll be cleaning and straightening up inside and I will probably work on trim while mama continues her tractor training. Maybe she will even let me drive it. :) (I haven't even sat on it yet)

Short day today, we just spent a few hours out there. Mama worked on spreading gravel under the lean-to while I worked on trim. We fired up the burn barrel and cleared out some misc scraps we had around and then cleaned up a little.

Didn't get a single picture, but she got most of the back covered up and I got most of the front soffit and facia up and soffit up on most of the west end of the building. After studying all the misc bits I have laying around I think I could get the main building trimmed out in a few hours which would finally completely get it buttoned up.

Maybe we will get the power sorted this week and I can get things trimmed out next weekend.

They started digging bright and early this morning. Got everything dug and a good bit of the steel placed. They are hoping to get foundation inspection tomorrow and then pour tomorrow afternoon. Fingers crossed that all goes to plan.

I have a couple more, but MUD doesn't seem to want to cooperate with me right now.

I also put up a time lapse camera a buddy had, so I hope to have some TL videos of the progress as we go.

Concrete!! 54 yds of it to be exact.

Block should arrive next week. Re-pin corners and then the mason will likely start end of the week or first of the next.

Man that sure looks good. I can remember when we built our house. It feels good to finally get something done on it. Keep up the pics.

Thanks @bluehawk it is very surreal to finally be seeing it come together.

Grabbed this one today while I was out working.

I spent the day doing trim work on the barn. Unless I missed something, I am done on the roof. All the end caps are on. Got the front corners closed in and got the soffit up and trimmed to the ridge on both sides and got the weatherstripping up on one of the Garage doors. Tomorrow, more soffit work, try to finish trimming in the other garage door and maybe try to get the back corners closed up. It will be a HUGE victory to finally get this thing completely closed in.

More barn pics.

And I wrapped up my day with a nice smoke in my future living room. Don't tell E I'm smoking in the house.

Watching some Foosball and resting my muscles up for another day tomorrow.

the one picture of the side of the barn with the doors stacked on the side, is that a hole near the top on the side? It just caught my eye. Looks good regardless.

Yeah, I have to get a replacement sheet for that. I was SUPER pissed at myself that day. The sheets all varied in length and were just long enough to just cut the angle on them and attach.... Unfortunately after we passed the high point, I got bassackwards in my measuring and cut the top of that one opposite. I got it up there as a place holder until I can get a replacement. I guess if that is the only major boo-boo then I guess we have faired ok. Still chaps my backside every time I see it though. :(

Thanks for the kudos, it has been a LOT of work, but I am happy with where we are. Looking forward to getting the floor dirty working on the cruiser this winter, I notice just today that both front knuckles are dripping on the front tires.... Once I get my weekends back I still have plenty to do. But I wouldn't have it any other way. :smokin:

That's awesome. No better feeling than having a place of your own to wrench on your cruisers. Beats laying on your back in the dirt or gravel. I know what you mean about getting assbackwards on doing something. I did the same thing several times when putting the siding on my garage. Luckily with vinyl siding, if you screw it up, you can always use that piece some where else down the line.

@profro if you need something to kick around, mowing and moving some stuff, then I would highly recommend one. It is a nice little machine. If you think you may want something will a little more umph, look at the 3oxx series. They don't have the drive over deck, only the 102x series (well the 20xx series, but the dealer said they are phasing them out and they don't have the autoconnect)

I still haven't gotten to use it, but E has put 10-15 hours on it and she loves it.

As far as the house goes, we have all the block, mortar, sand, etc are all sitting there ready to go and after nearly a month with no rain, it has rained all week, so now we will have to wait for it to dry out some for them to be able to get going. So, now we wait... Again....

Well, I guess there has been a little progress. They poured a pad I requested under the future stairs. And in order to get around the trip charge we ordered a little extra and poured a stoop on the barn.

New stoop.

Lots of block and brick

Only thing with the stoop is I hope I don't get water back on/ under the door. It slopes pretty well away from the door, but I don't have any gutters so the water from the roof runs off onto it. Should know tomorrow if it's going to be a problem since it's been raining all flippin' day.

looking good. As far as the rain and the stoop, I say just get a metal awning to mount over the door and cover the stoop. Should work out good, just my .02 worth.
