The desert was fantastic, and it was all high impact so I will be back but with other cars, we just drove close to the Algeria border and to abandoned places were any car trouble could end up life threatening.

Back to the ferry to Gibraltar I drove trough the Ketama hash valley at 1600 meter in the Atlas mountains.
150 kilometers long people offered Hash to sell...
The kept driving next to me in old smoking Mercedes offering hash, shouting and trying to make me stop, other cars did the same and I just looked at the navigation to see the corners and kept full throttle in 3th gear at 3200 RPM screaming uphill.

I thought they they wanted to rob me but it was just a selling technique  : forget the negative thinking, all was good and friendly.

This is snow in Ketama valley, I was to scared to leave the vehicle: afraid of another screaming revving Mercedes suddenly coming around the corner, but at 1600 meters there was snow, and a really beautiful road and view.

I also left trough Spanish Africa (that way customs seems easier) to Europe trough Gibraltar (Algeciras) coming from Ceuta.
Bought the ticket while standing in line, the ferry person pointed to a booth to buy a ticket: got it and was allowed to enter.

Google Maps

I was happy with that because everybody seems to sell tickets but I don't know which time, which ferry: they might sell me an old newspaper.

Then again the customs check, nobody ever looked inside the crates on the roof, the customs guy pointed at me and said to his colleague that the landcruiser was a very strong car
And while I thought the checks would involve opening everything I just drove trough to the ferry parking.
One more check on the boat again with dogs (guy said people could hide inside the crates) but no trouble at all.

Next time I will leave the locks on, because I removed the locks they seemed to think someone could hide inside (?)

Oke this moment was kind of a relief, I should have booked a hotel in morocco to have a good safe sleep.

Mentally it was nice to be less alerted and relaxed, somehow Spain felt much safer and abandoned with people.
(should not have been scared that much but when traveling alone and sleeping deserted is different than with a group)
My brother had to take a plain back because he did not have time but we did reach the Sahara and that was the goal plan.

Now getting back alone was also the plan but difficult at the first days, also calling home from Morocco was 7 euro per minute and from Spain it is only 6 cent.

Today I bought some nice tires for the splitrims, did to much reading and almost bought the cheapest tire (Event ML698 7.5R16 for only 85 euro a piece)
Now glad I bought second hand: Michelin XZL 7.5016 5 tires with :skull:land rover:flipoff2: rims for 350 euro, sell the rims later.

Fit nicely in Mitsubishi:

Michelin XZL 7.5016 and BFG 32x11.50 r15
This looks like what I want, no fat tires anymore! I don't like the fatties handling in sand and mud and my 5 speed H55 cant handle the gear change: from 3 to 4 must overrev.
Splits drive nicely.

Michelin XZL 7.5016 and Bridgestone mud dueler 7.50 splitrim are same size, one is more worn out.
The V shape looks good to me, typical sand pattern and I wil try to get stuck when the splits are splitted and blasted? painted black? and fitted :deadhorse:

Today managed to remove one Michelin tyre from the landrover rim.
The last bit was tough.

And ordered a LOKKA front diff!:steer:
TOY-FO-406
Front 30 Spline Open
LOKKA - Automatic Differential Locker
Google criminals blockers does not show lokka: fraud search engine blocking this huge company because they wont pay ads and this way google is misleading customers.
Google does not make a company big, the company does!
Try to help search engine duckduckgo to get real clean results that are not paid for:
