Not to be too mushy but I was just checking out a few other random clubs pages on this site and those people only seem to post every few days. It's cool that YT people are all so involved and have almost a daily, sometimes hourly, interaction.

Oh yeah and YT RULES......

And a cage, lift, bigger tires, oem wheels, sliders, H55, diesel, paint, longfields, covers & foam for my new stock seats, my own trailer........ I'm sure I can think of other things too.

Nope.....just lockers

Buddy Walk 08

Not sure this is the right place for it, but.....Our family went to the Buddy Walk yesterday in Wakefield, MA. Great day all around! Here's a pic of us and some people we walked with.

My kids are in front and wife is back left....I took the picture...:)

Very cool! Troopy is perfect for a crew that size

Is it a fund-raiser event?

It seems to serve 2 purposes, first to raise positive awareness to people with Downs Syndrome and second to raise money for services needed for that population(supports many local ARC's, and groups like it). It also is a great place to meet families that have much in common...:) This event happens across the country in every state once a year. We've been going since my son was born 6 years ago. Next year...we bring the troopy!!!!

Nice. :) A beautiful day for a walk for a great cause. :)

Took in the local color most of the weekend, craft fair (mother in law's choice) on Saturday, trip to Keene (Target) and back Sunday. Just gorgeous foliage right now, best in years by far. We're a touch past peak though.

So how long is the detox period for this addiction you have?

How did you make out headding to Wally's

Made it to Wally's just fine. Had to get up at 3:30 am. that sucked. drive was loud but good.

Planning on dumping my BMW for that BJ40. 5 speed, turbo, and discs. Should be a good DD if I can rust proof it. Has original paint on it but that'll have to be covered over to protect it. It's staying yellow. Should get 25 mpg. Has a rebuilt B engine with 3K kilometers on it.

Yes I plan on keeping the pumpkin but it cost me $65 in gas to get to Wally's today. Ugly.

welding class

We started on the mig machines tonight. spent about an hour or so going over the machine, what wire to use the different codes etc. Showed us how to figure out line speed and voltage.
Then it was off to the booth for practice. Butt weld and fillet.
The guy I weld with is my age, used to race oval track and did work on cages etc.
The instructor was into drag cars.
Instructor was at one time the VP for LMFT club and does a lot of atv stuff right now.
My welding partner is on the board of a local snowmobile club.
Talked about legal land use and those concerns. Small world.

Blues jam tomorrow night and Ian is pumped for that.

I Gotta learn how to weld!

Just drove the pumpkin back from Wally's. Good news and bad news. Good news is I now have disc brakes and the truck drives even better! Less wabbling and rattles. Bad news was the innards of my donor axle was all junk. Axle shafts, longfields, bearings, seals, tie rods etc were all scrapped and replaced. Calipers were frozen as well. Cost more and basically Wally completely rebuilt the front end. Bright side is it's MUCH safer to drive AND I'll probably never have to do most of that again (hopefully)

Drove 3 hours back just now. Definitely selling my BMW.

considering it but might do that BJ40 as the DD so need to make a judgment call when it gets here

the brief trek in the lv i was surprised and pleaed with how well it stopped I have a steep little incline at the bottom of my street with a 6" stone wall directly across my alley street. so being able to stop was a prerequistie to getting the lv on the road. I had nighmares about it. .. anyway I put rear disks in and the stopping power was spot on. some other brake upgrades you may consider for even more stopping power are 4 runner calpiers from the early 90's they bolt right on the front but instead of 1 small 1 large cylinder for each caliper they have 2 large. don't know why the land cruiser's did not get these direct bolt on brake upgrade. also if you do go rdb get a fzj80 Master Cylinder that has the 2 lb back pressure rsestor built in that way you don't need to put the lame will wodd 2lb resitance thingy in that adds like 6 junctions in your brake line due to it being pipe trhead.
anyway brakes are good. do you have a rear sway bar on the pumkin?
