You're kidding me. What are they charging you for that?

Speak to Wildman I'm sure he has some sh!t *(cow chicken sheep) to send up to Wally's

It's about $150. either that or no FJ. maybe I can get some MUDship stuff to chip in for gas.

take Dave Bettie's cruiser he won't be using it

Why didn't I think of that???

Randy suggested I rent an FJ Cruiser and beat the F out of it. I'd get the insurance of course.

I assume they were talking about bottle-rockets.

Went to David Ortiz' house today. Had to drop off some wine to him. Busy day.

Hey John...couldn't you mudship yourself? ;)

Cool that the ride is ready :)

Why not take a cab to Wally's place? OK seriously...how about the bus...train?

Bus and train are probably Albany at closest so too far.

As Homer Simpson says, "Public transportation is for losers."

Used to be able to get a greyhound bus from concord to North Adams, 1/2 hr from the farm. It is a college, so they do bus into NA. Screw dropping $150. plus a full tank of gas for that 8mpg uhaul pig.

I was in Oregon and Avis gave me a H3, after some strapping and pulling it looked good from a couple of yards away. There's a thread in the 80 section if interested.

Unfortunately I don't have the patience to be around people on a bus for hours on end. I like to stop at oddball tourist spots that pop up too. Plus the Uhaul is about 4 miles from Wally so it'll be convenient to make the farm without putting Wally out.

I used to take the bus to Vail when I lived in CO. I sat next to a homeless, schizophrenic jesus preacher for 3 hours once and it was the last time I ever got on a Greyhound.

If you can make it to the Greenfield area I can ride you up the rest of the way.

Harry

I have a ton of parts going up plus all my camping crap. I appreciate the offer but at this point I probably do need a 10 ft box truck!

Spoke to Wally again last night and he said the engine was very strong and "has more power than you'll ever need." This was a relief after my water incident. Can't wait to see it tomorrow.

I am not getting anything done today for work.

Spent a good part of last night in the hospital with a good friend. He got into a motorcycle accident. There were two cars in front of him. They were all traveling in the left lane and the first decides to jack on his brakes to make a left hand turn. The second car in line hits his brake then goes into the right lane forcing a car off the road and stops. He didn’t have anywhere to go can clipped one of the cars. The cop cited him for failure to maintain control of his vehicle. He has no car insurance, although mandated by the state of RI and he also has no heath insurance. He was banged up pretty good but made out pretty well considering that he didn’t have his helmet on and didn’t have a scratch on his head.

Scary.

Glad your friend is ok. Scary stuff. Could've been way worse.

That's essentailly how I got into Cruisers......I had a 1957 BSA Road Rocket and almost got in a bad accident cuz of the same scenario. After that I sold the bike and bought the biggest hunk of metal I could find which was a 1979 FJ40.

wow that sucks I hope he is alright my brother got in a motorcycle accident last week. had to stop short and some how the front brake locked up 9he is still fuzzy on that. any way he went over the handle bars and the bike landed on top of him and broke his ankle. the front of his helmet was scraped ope yet his head was fine. he wears full leathers and body armour i can't imagine what he would have looked like without the protective gear. My dad has like 3 grand in protective gear for his bike as well. my Mom would not let him get the bike without it well thats how he sold my mom on the bike anyway.
not for me i will stick to big boxy slow metal things on 4 wheels

I don't know how I am going to make it through this work day.......

Sorry to hear about your friend. Hope he is OK.

Jsaltlick, you will LOVE the native american stores on route two if you like cheezy tourist stuff.

Talked to wally about your truck. It is getting the "barcomb" test today. Wally has a strong anti V8 bias, so barcomb is the test pilot for swaps.
