If the sign is on the landowner's property, that's OK by me, it's his opinion. I have the impression that LMFT was distancing itself from the verbiage on that sign, true? On the other hand, isn't LMFT in a position to have it removed, especially if it is on the LMFT property?

We really have to find a way to keep access for the NEA clubs at the least.

When I spoke with my contact person he assured me that it wasn't the actions of the "collective" LMFT but rather a private landowner.

LMFT "Thank A Landowner" doesn't own any property to the best of my knowledge. They are just a group of landowners that keep the trails on their properties usable for people to enjoy.

The signage has more than likely been placed there by the owner of the property.
I'll drive out there Sunday and find out and try to come up with some solid answers on all these questions.

It's funny to me that for as many people that have told me they are paid members of LMFT how few members they claim to have?

The sign I read was right at the beginning of Wambus. It was just an
orange piece of plastic with the lettering done in Magic Marker.
It was done in the style of other LMFT signs. Not professional by anymeans.
The property that we wheel on there (1477 acres) is owned by Carroll Concrete and the Carroll family.
It is for sale for just over 3 million.

Just because when I tried to get on their website to register it was down, what does it take to be a member of LMFT and what does it get you?

Looking at the exit to that trail with Lane, looks like your not getting up that unless your running 42's" at least, big deep holes in-between good sized rocks on a fairly steep ledge

Yeah its probably one of the hardest sections of trail ive seen in new england. I'll def give it a try in the buggy tho.

Ran Bearclaw first.
Junior doing what he does best, carb rebuild in the mud.
2 & 3, playing on the boulders, nobody made it.
4, Junior smoking the tires, pretty sure he was sliding back down the hill at this point.

a few more

I had never loaded a truck on a trailer before, I had never towed with a truck that had a vehicle on a trailer...
I had borrowed a friend's pick up because I hadn't installed the hitch and electric brake on my van yet.

Everything was going better than expected till...

This is a photo 4 hours into my drive!

At least you weren't going to Rauch Creek. You might have been up the Creek without a paddle.

It seems that my brilliant friend failed to tell me that he thought por15 was a suitable replacement for the metal that had rotted off from various areas of his oil pan.

Caught it in time, no known damage to the motor.... Judging by the pool under the truck there was plenty of oil in the block.

Huge thanks to Wally, Marc G and Jr.
Marc for lending the Tundra to Wally for grabbing the trailer and my 40.
Wally for spending half the day waiting on AAA, towing the trailer and 40 back to his place and providing the Bud Light therapy
Jr. For helping me drop the pan!

Wow Bob that could have been a lot worse,

Absolutely.. I wasn't stranded on the pike.
I caught it before all the oil leaked out.
There were friends there to help.

I would never think a oil pan for a 02 dodge would rot through.... EVEN for a dodge!

I wonder if the push for better fuel economy is causing manufacturers to us higher strength steel in a thinner guage. It would work from a structural stand point and save weight but salt is salt and steel rusts. Thinner steel would rust though more quickly.

Hey Bob,
any news on LMFT? Did you go to the meeting?

Was talking with Jr. about doing a group truck picture at this years Fall Gathering, He said they used to do this and I am sure it is a huge undertaking but I think it would be cool, I also liked the FG calendars we used to do, and interest in starting that back up?
