Not sure if this has been done. I have been wanting a military style Hardigg or pelican container for a while. We are a family of six and we we camp there is always alot of stuff to pack. This was listed as a shipping container. Has lock hinges on each side. A little big at 4'x2'x2' but will be on top of the cruiser anyways. Pic sucks will get better pics tomorrow.

Anyways what do you use. Post it up!

I use ECS cases out of Oregon.
I like them as they stack like Legos.
ECS Case - Shipping Containers, Rackmount Cases, Military Weapons Cases, Transit Cases, Custom Containers, COTS Containers, Footlockers, No Charge Engineering, Equipment Enclosures, Molded Cases, Fabricated Containers
They have a ton of different types, and colors too.

The two in this first pic are their big footlockers, I actually no longer use them as they take up a lot of space.

It has top containers in them too.

They took up a lot of room.

I am now using a smaller footlocker, and a square one for my solar equipment/lights.

Corey has the modern day equivalent of Joe from "Joe Versus the Volcano" and his trunks. hahaha

Ziploc Weather Shield containers. I got three 15 gallon containers and two 4 gallon containers for less than $50.00. The large bins have six latches, and the small ones have four. All of them have a foam gasket in the lid to help keep out water and dust.

Got to admit I had never heard of those.

I hadn't either until about three weeks ago. I got the four pack (two large & two small) from Walmart.com. Then I bought one more large at a nearby Walmart.

i like that as well!

I am also using the zip-lok containers. Have eight of the largest size. They are rain proof and dust proof on the roof rack or sitting outside. Haven't tried submerging them to see if they are waterproof ;) What I like most about them is they are the "right" size. Not too big that they weigh a ton when loaded, but not too small that they are useless.

According to the let's-use-drawings-for-all-the-people-who-can't-read-English-or-read-at-all diagram, they are not designed to be submerged.

Hmm, I never even saw the directions

Just bought this today from Paul May at Equipt1 Expeditions, should be here early next week, as Paul ships fast.
Alu-Box 42 Liter Aluminum Storage Case ABA42

This is going to replace an Action Packer about the same size I have been using for years for my dry foods.
Been wanting to try out one of these Alu-Boxes for awhile now.
Plus I will be able to put in more since the sides are straight, the Action Packers has a lot of wasted space inside due to the shape of them.

That is my biggest complaint with plastic totes of any kind.

Yep, even those nice cases I have out of Oregon due to the thickness of them, you lose some space.
I think I may get another Alu-Box after this one arrives.
