He is usually spot on- he definitely doesn’t like modified vehicles but was spot on about rust.

at the 30:04 minute mark on the video, he mentions battery draining. I sometimes leave my LX470 parked for weeks at a time, and the battery is always flat when i try to start it. He mentions a "telematics" fuse that you can pull to help prevent parasitic draw when sitting. I looked at all 3 fuse boxes, but I cannot find this fuse. Does anyone know what he is talking about?
thanks,

There goes my dream of buying another rust-free late model year Hundy for cheap 😂😂
Lots of cheaper ones out there but it seems you always get what you pay for

Telematics fuse is actually AM2 fuse located in the engine bay fuse box.

What are the reasons not to pull this fuse?

Anyone that has pulled it, are you seeing less parasitic draw to the point it’s actually worth doing?

Yes I did and I have recorded it as well. You can watch it here. AM2 fuse controls ignition, ecu, I believe stereo also. After pulling AM2 fuse, parasite draw dropped significantly.
I personally haven't tested if AM2 fuse resets the trip meter, if it doesn't then pulling it out might save your battery from parasite drain. I ended up buying this tiny trickle charger that you install in your engine bay and leave it plugged if you are not using your car for weeks.

Thanks for the detailed response.

Has anyone pulled the AM2 fuse for a significant amount of time? Any issues you’ve run into?

I have my LC on a trickle charger but I’d prefer to get to the root cause of parasitic draw for times when we are camping for extended periods.
