It's interesting to me all the '65 parts on the '68 (Sept '67 build) 40 I'm working. This week a "full brake" job and if I'm correct the removed and replaced wheel cylinders are cast with 65 (so far) meaning the year?. Perhaps I'm wrong and it doesn't mean the year but I like to pretend. The date goes with my turn signal and reflector dates of '65. I find it exciting, like a treasure hunt...I'm a nerd and make no excuses.
