Come on mooooooo, we don't care about the VVTI
WE GET THE 4.5L V8 TWIN TURBO DIESEL WITH 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC!
Bugger! Wish I was in the market for one!
It is detuned by 18 kW against the UK webpage specs?
hehe! says you with the f'ing turbo diesel (4.2 TD) already!!
but yes, that f'ing quad cam twin turbo diesel is well....about f'ing time...but i've invested thousands in my LC100...i wanted a V8 petrol (gasoline) engine when i was looking to buy a 4WD ...and Toyota is the best.
i posted on here a while back why they (Toyota) didnt introduce the VVTi 4.7L V8 down here...cost and marketing apparently, so save your search.
Yes diesel is more economical....but i love the V8. And if i come into money of any sort i will get the supercharger from bulletcars.com in Brisbane. (Oz).
It would be cool for the 5.7L to be made available on the 200, but it's only going to be on the LX570 down here as you probably know. And i don't have what is it $75K?? for the LC200 and the LX570 here is gonna be like $120K...sweet...i'll just advertise my fat body for 200 years to pay for it
What i think we should be doing Mr 100 TD is buying up all of the poverty pack 105s now, ship them over to the USA and store them while the Ozzie dollar is high and wait for our Ozzie dollar to fall (which it will doesnt matter who is elected Prime Minister in the next month) and then sell the solid axle front ends to the USA folk that want them.
Cheezy Racing (see my sig) have been swapping out IFS 100 series LCs for 105 solid (live?) axles for a while. But, i think that the conversions they've done are diesel only. ie 100 series IFS diesel converted to sold/live axle diesel .
I'll talk to Mark "cheezy" Cheeseman and ask him if they've done any petrol (gasoline) V8 conversions as i have to talk to him about a customised rear bar i want. I'd say not about any V8 swaps for the live axle, but ya never know.
The team there builds some very nice work.
And i dream on about affording a quad cam, twin turbo diesel V8 Landcruiser.....
And then i woke up ...
cheers
