I don't know the metric equivalents but how much hp and torque does it make? Also will it work with the 100 4speed tranny? Also does anyone know about how many mpg neighborhood does it get? Just curious if 1 day i wanna do the engine swap, thanks guys

Sorry, but I just couldn`t help myself ..

The 200 series only comes in 5.7 liter

Not in other markets around the world..They actually get some relevent options to the gas sucker we have to settle on...

:grinpimp:

Time to move!!

I would get the diesel version of the 200 if it was an option.

the LC200 isn't available in Oz with the 5.7L V8

From the PDF on this page:
"With two engine variants, a 4.7L V8 VVT-i Petrol with 5-speed
automatic transmission and a 4.5L V8 Twin Turbo Diesel with
6-speed automatic transmission"

we get the VVTi V8 engine in Oz for the first time, even though it's been available in the LC100 elsewhere for a while now.
cheers

Come on mooooooo, we don't care about the VVTI

WE GET THE 4.5L V8 TWIN TURBO DIESEL WITH 6-SPEED AUTOMATIC!

Bugger! Wish I was in the market for one!
It is detuned by 18 kW against the UK webpage specs?

hehe! says you with the f'ing turbo diesel (4.2 TD) already!!

but yes, that f'ing quad cam twin turbo diesel is well....about f'ing time...but i've invested thousands in my LC100...i wanted a V8 petrol (gasoline) engine when i was looking to buy a 4WD ...and Toyota is the best.

i posted on here a while back why they (Toyota) didnt introduce the VVTi 4.7L V8 down here...cost and marketing apparently, so save your search.

Yes diesel is more economical....but i love the V8. And if i come into money of any sort i will get the supercharger from bulletcars.com in Brisbane. (Oz).

It would be cool for the 5.7L to be made available on the 200, but it's only going to be on the LX570 down here as you probably know. And i don't have what is it $75K?? for the LC200 and the LX570 here is gonna be like $120K...sweet...i'll just advertise my fat body for 200 years to pay for it :D

What i think we should be doing Mr 100 TD is buying up all of the poverty pack 105s now, ship them over to the USA and store them while the Ozzie dollar is high and wait for our Ozzie dollar to fall (which it will doesnt matter who is elected Prime Minister in the next month) and then sell the solid axle front ends to the USA folk that want them.

Cheezy Racing (see my sig) have been swapping out IFS 100 series LCs for 105 solid (live?) axles for a while. But, i think that the conversions they've done are diesel only. ie 100 series IFS diesel converted to sold/live axle diesel .

I'll talk to Mark "cheezy" Cheeseman and ask him if they've done any petrol (gasoline) V8 conversions as i have to talk to him about a customised rear bar i want. I'd say not about any V8 swaps for the live axle, but ya never know.

The team there builds some very nice work.

And i dream on about affording a quad cam, twin turbo diesel V8 Landcruiser.....

And then i woke up ...:flipoff2:

cheers

The question is not that i know doesels are sold in other countries on these trucks.

the question is for the 100 what diesel power plant does it have? and how much hp and tq do they have? And don't know worry what I want i get so for me it's def an option

you need to "talk" to 100 TD and other Aussies on here that have the 4.2L turbo diesel engine and others that have the 105 series diesel 'cruiser which was/is the "base model" Landcruiser. Unfortunately this model is sometimes referred to as "the poverty pack" option of the Landcruiser.

It was a non-turbo diesel variant and had the live axle.
Rubber floor mats, (no carpet) and the basics.

Unfortunately Toyota (Oz) web pages arent there anymore...but if you know how to use Google cache (an archive of web sites/pages) then you can see what was there.

man...even with my laptop in the middle of nowhere (Oz style, although wifi here is CRAP) go to the f'ing Oz 'yota sight and d/l the specs.
I menioned the site in another post, although it was specific to the 200 sries.

should see you "sorted".......ie get you on your way, your chosen path, fulfill your dreams, and i'm sure there's more cliches that can be added...hehe.

take care

in the middle east currently the new land cruiser 2008 200 series we have GX only, which we have V8 2UZ-FE 4.7L and Diesel 4.5L i dont think it would fit the 100 series because the frame is different and also the wirring and electric boards i am sure their is too much different.
