Well for all of you that know me and went out wheeling this past weekend and saw my embarrassing attempt of going up the dirt hill and up the rocky wall...
Turns out that my truck does not have A-Trac (yea I know the stock tires are not helping ether) and because I did not purchase the locker option I cannot get A-Trac to work (different ECU)...

Thats what I get for buying the lowest version 4X4 FJC Toyota had to offer! You see when we bought the truck, Jessa and I never thought we would get into wheeling this much! Turns out that with such a great group of people here and on FJC Club wheeling has become our new hobby!

So now the part search starts for a new ECU (brake ECU that is)... If someone knows of a wrecked FJC thats being parted out let me know!

Thanks,

-Dan

Can you drop aftermarket lockers into the FJC? If so, look into it.
A-trac is overrated anyway, just giver some more gas! :D

I am a newb when it comes to lockers, I have worked on LSDs before but never lockers. I am not sure if the aftermarket lockers require any of the factory locker parts, but I will start looking into that!

Like BMan can tell ya, we tried the 'more gas' theory but the rock wall got a little to close for comfort so he made the logical and safe choice of winching me out.

Thanks guys for the input!

It looks like the ARB Air Lockers are my solution and apparently I can get that cheaper than the ECU for A-Trac from the dealer.

I'm going to do some more research and talk to some of the guys that have done both lockers on there FJC.

Thanks again!

Hey Dan,
With the money you saved at purchase you should probably just SAS the front while you're at it. :D

Money saved? na no such thing, remember we were one of the first to get the FJ, we had to pay the 'privileged' to get one...:frown:

OK, mod list (for now)
tires!!!
Then, ARB Air-Lockers front and rear.
Then, rear bumper, some more protection...
Lights... fridge, and so on and on and on...:D

Yea thanks;)
I guess for now I get to work on my driving skills until the new tires and lockers get installed...
