Hi everyone, my name is Jesse. I've been looking to this site for tips and tech info for the past year, just never joined. I'm looking forward to swaping info, mostly gaining new. I have a 72 FJ40, 2.5 super lift springs, HFS shackles and other than that pretty much stock. I've attached a photo of it when it was clean.

Right nice looking rig. I do have to say though, some of the features on there looks to be a newer model. Post up some more pics. Everyone here would love to see more.:D

The tub appears to be a later model.

Wow since you guys have brought it up, I see the 72's don't have a gas door. I was wondering if anyone knows the factory cut off date (month) between body styles of 72' and 73'. like I said my VIN tag says Sep. 72' is it possible I have a "late model" 72' with the 73' tub I.E. gas door? or did someone along the way swith tubs and tag it with the 72"s VIN tag.

it, is possibly a Con-Ferr rear rack. I bought the LC from the original owner. He had extra's that came wih it and there was a Con-Ferr spare extention bracket. He was a fan of Spector, and Con-Ferr. My LC also has the aux gas tank from Con-Ferr

nice truck, nice scenery..

What are these on your rear roll bar? Speakers? or Storage?

What's this roll for? Does it stay attached and roll out to cover the rear? Shade? How'd you make it and attach it? What material? Just curious... a good idea, and looks good too w/ bikini top.

Those are year-appropriate tail lights. Your front turns might be later year. I think '72 they were round? I don't think it really matters.. if it's registered as a 1972, it's a 1972 (CA smog-exempt!).

Mine is still a '71, despite the 2010 SBC 350 under the hood!

Nice looking Cruiser and some very interesting terrain in the background. .......1978HJ45

Those are 6X9's in plastic Pioneer boxes they work great, right next to your heard so you can still hear them goin down the road. The roll on the back near the Bikini top is just a hard case for my fishing pole. The picture was taken at the entrance to Morris lake at High Lakes in Butte County. The lake at the bottom is Morris. fun trip.

If the lake is as scenic as the surrounding area that should be a nice place to spend a day fishing. Take care........1978HJ45

Welcome, Nice rig , But what's up with those J**PS in the background ??? JK.:flipoff2::smokin:

LOL.....that picture was taken outside my friend's house. A group of us were going out wheeling. He is a Jeep fan...not me
