That is generally caused by the OBD adapter you are using
Is it a 1.4.x? Those generally don't do live data. I had to use a 2.0.x on my '12 460 to get live data. In the day they were usually about twice as expensive but haven't looked in years.

Where do I get the version number from? I can use it for the older toyotas which dont have any customize options but live data stream is coming up.
See if it shows up in the interface setup area. Might be under the Detail button

Thanks to both of you I saw that my cable is 1.4.7 so generic live data is all i get. That amazon link is crazy expensive, there way cheaper sellers out there.

Also beware of the OBDII to PC cable. I don't think ALL OBDII to PC cables are created equal. I had one I purchased in the early 2000's for our old 100 series Landcruisers and when I tried it on the GX it didn't work.
From what I gathered, the cable was outdated. So I guess there's something in the OBDII part of the cable that wasn't available on my earlier one?
Not sure. All I know is this one works.

Appreciate the guide. There are a couple of options outside of the guide that im confused about. When i get some techstream time Ill see if I can add them to the thread.
