I came across this a little while back. It seems like a cool thing for people like me to get introduced and started in welding and crap like that. Anyways, the deal is that you sign up for a class (~$30 or so) and the class will teach you the basics of whatever class you're in. And then you can get a monthly pass for $100 and use the equipment. They're still in the process of finalizing the one in LA.

There is one in San Diego, friend of ours husband was in it taking some Machine shop class to machine parts for his Harley. I will try to get more info. He raved about it.

Not sure exactly what they have, but i will dig up some info.

Thats awesome. I took auto shop in high school and learned the very basics about arc welding, but would love to learn some more welding techniques. Hope they open one in LA soon!
