Thanks Paul. As for if it's a 2 speed, I think it is but don't know as I have no switch and don't know how to tell the difference. Is there a way to look at it and tell?
As for the wiring, the harness coming from the vehicle has 4 wires, 2 blu/blk, 1 blu/red and 1 blu/wht. There is no blk/wht for ground in the harness. But the motor itself is grounded to one of the screws that holds the motor to the windshield frame.

On a side note, a buddy and I got the seals changed out yesterday in the axles. At the same time, we changed out the tie rod ends. Unfortunately, one was the wrong one so I hope to have that complete in the next couple of days. Boy, you guys weren't kidding when you said get ready to get greasy and messy.

MIke, I think I ran one wire to the positive post on the battery, and another wire from the motor to ground when i tested it.

I think I have tried every possible wiring combination. I am going to take it apart but I am working on getting another one that I know is working.

finally got a moment to check the one here
soo if you look at the plug on the wiper pigtail with the lock tang up the two top terminals are the input 12 volt either one runs the motor one is low the other is hi not a lot of diff between the two
unable t o get the wire out enough to see the color with out removing the motor hope this is of some help

yeah but you have to be driving at a good speed for that to happen That rain x is really good stuff.

yeah but you have to be driving at a good speed for that to happen That rain x is really good stuff.

RainX is getting "installed" soon. As for the wiring, I appreciate it Paul. I had another friend look at it today and he determined the same thing, that the motor is done. Keep your eyes open. If anyone hears of one being sold let me know.

Not worth rebuilding. I found one here on MUD that he is going to let me have for $40 shipped. Can't beat that I wouldn't think. But I will tear this one apart after I get the "new" one and see if it's possible to keep it as a spare.

Need to borrow a fuel transfer pump.I need to transfer 35 gallons of diesel fuel from my factory tank to my inbed fuel tank / tool box. So I can drop the tank. Should only take 10 minutes. Any body have a lead on one please let me know. thanks

Sounds like a "Wyoming credit card" . That should work just fine. If my parts come in before the weekend I'll give a call to pick it up.If not i'll try to pick it up at the wrenching Saturday. Thanks

im in need of a brake wiring diagram for my 89 truck, i have looked online at every FSM or repair manual i can find, but none of them have the brake wiring showing the switch and the power to and and the outgoing signal from the switch.

my brake lights are shorting out somewhere but i cant find where.

stop light fuse grn-red to stop light switch spliced blk-wht to cab brake light & blk to interior light

switch to light grn-wht spliced on to the grn wht to TCCS ECU/shift lock control/cruise control

do you have a converter bow for a trailer? I had one and it got mud and water in it causing issues with my brake lights, turn signals, and dash lights. Removed it and all was good again.

On the 4runner/mini IFS box, which port is the pressure and which is the return? Same as SFA or reverse? I am in the process of setting up my high steer and wanted to make sure.

Swapping gas tanks from the poly tank in the 40 to the oem steel tank that Brian threw in with the sale.

This is what the oem tank looks like:

The 3 lines above the inlet tube are for the fuel evaporator and I had one on my 77FJ40 (because I had the oem tank, I guess). If you look closely you can see that each of those 3 lines runs to a different part of the tank, one to each of the 3 "compartments" of the tank.

Here is what I have with the poly tank.....

In the first picture, don't pay attention to the larger tube that runs under one of the smaller ones. It's the other 3 that essentially should be running to the evaporator but instead one doubles back on itself, one goes from one corner of the tank to another corner of the tank and the one in the middle goes from the tank to a line that runs out of the cab.

So, to finally get to it, my question is, can I just put a "Y" on the middle tube and run the other 2 to it so that each "compartment" vents to the others? Since the poly tank does not run to an evaporator, I can't see why I would have to run the oem tank that way but I am no expert (obviously). Anybody got a comment on this one?
