I'm not going to get something new though. I am going to find something super cheap and post the results so people can go the same route in the future if they choose.

When it comes to safety C H E E P ALWAYS cost way more in the long run.
I plan to keep it safe and only spend a few bucks on the upgrade. If I don't find anything good then I will just wait, hold off on wheeling, and get some extended lines later.

I am combining my stock lines with Kia Sephia lines to make a lint that will be about 35".
ok i was at my buds boat shop to day and was looking at some trailer brake lines ther good rubber and brass end and they have diif sizes like30 in 16 and stuff good stuff i can get a exact mesaurement on them and pic will post soon im gon put em on the buggy
Media Blasting in Lafayette
I am in the process of removing all the panels on my fj40 and sanding/stripping them down to bare metal. I found out very quickly that sanding takes forever and that stripping is very messy. My question to everyone is does anyone know of a good media blaster in Lafayette that will be able to do all my panels including the hood.
I have searched but have not been able to find anything. Help with this would be appreciated.

sucks did the oil in thedifs on the buggy looked at the ring and pinion they have 3.73 in ther . not what the guy said he said he thought they had 456 , theonly good part is that the pinion is big and strong , im gona call cajun off road tomarro see about pulling some 488 are 5sumthings if i can i know d44 ring and pinions a kina cheep i know for my jeep i got te yukons for like 180 a set i think brian chared me 675 do do the job back in the day, do yal think i should go in 5 gear range are just stick with 4 88 .??? are will it make that mutch diff in crawiling ?
Pretty sure mine came from Slee but I'll check my receipt tomorrow and let you know. Wrapped with conduent plastic for extra chafing guard seems to help as well. Mine rub on all kinds of stuff under the truck and the extra plastic saves $$$ in the long run.

I use S&S coatings in Youngville and have for several years. He does sandblasting on body parts, engine parts, bumpers both sets of the wheels on the 78 and 80 and whatever I need. He's close and inexpensive. His primary jobs are oil field so I usually drop off my parts an put them in a shed and he'll blast them and prime as he get time. We did use a guy on the Northside to do the frame on what is now Brian's 40 blasted and primed for $150 but don't remember who it was?

How did the panels look after they were sand blasted and primed. I don't want there to be a whole lot of imperfections in the metal because of the sand. I also heard that sand blasting can cause the metal to warp. I talked to Lindsey today and he said that he would charge 200 for the Hood and both fenders. Does the price sound about right, I've never had anything sand blasted and primed before.

I actually tried the Aircraft brand stripper. It does work but it takes a ridiculous amount of time and energy. I spent about 8 hours on just my aprons and my bezel. I couldn't imagine the hell I would go through if I had to do the hood and the fenders. I am all about doing things as inexpensively as possible but not at the cost of about 2-3 weeks of my time. The only thing I can think of with the EL Camino you tube video is the paint being stripped wasn't OEM, Because mine sure as hell doesnt come off that easy.
